We were both advise to come bare faced to the workshop and so we did. Elyn looked great as usual even without make up, I was so envious! Then again, it was expected. It was a little embrassing for me to walk around in Gurney Plaza all bare faced and I didn't have the guts too so I put on a little of my Etude House Precious Mineral BB cream and The body Shop's shimmer wave and drew my eye brows a little. Ash the Vain Pot, I know. Still an achievement for myself since I would never really come out without my eyeliner usually.
Anyway, after a quick drink at Coffee Bean, we headed up to G Hotel to register in. While there, Elyn told me that she heard Enpointe was coming as well. Ooo, a suprise for me. Enpointe or WildBerry as I have known her before is someone I usually like to buy my sweetscents or MAC pigments from. Her service is super fast and she usually gives some nice samples out.
The EOTD I came up with using MAC Knight Divine and err.. other stuffs that the instructor came and put on
I must admit the truth, I felt extremely guilty that I actually bought the MAC mode workshop vouchers in the end. I had badly wanted to come and told my parents that so they ended up 'sponsoring' me and in the end of the day, perhaps I expect a little too much. I didn't learn much, I could have perhaps learn more if Elyn decided to do an EOTD on her blog or if she was the one up there teaching. I'm not exgerrating nor am I saying that the workshop was really bad but this is just my 2 cents la. If they have intermediate classes next time, perhaps Elyn should go and come back and teach the rest of us...

Ashley, eye kohl is not waterproof or resistant and meant to be smudge easily coz it's designed to be can draw thicker and smudge become eyeshadow... You can feel the texture is creamier and the colour is more intense than other range... Hoped it helps...
thank you for swatching the gloss :p i was thinking of getting it but didnt know how natural/shiny it looked. How is the flavor/smell if any?
@Ushishi
Thanks for leaving a comment, the lip gloss looks really natural so no worried, hardly any colour. It smells okay, nice in a way and not overbearing, to me anyway.
When you asked about the flavour, I 'jammed' a bit, lol, had to go apply and lick.
no funky taste whatsoever.
@Chris
ARGHH! dammit, no one told me, thanks appreciate it.
Figures, no wonder la cause in the end I used it to blend with my eyeshadow and no one screamed.
The instructor probably didn't mentioned anything or I wasn't paying attention and missed out the info. Sheesh. No wonder it was super creamy and couldn't come out in a unbroken straight line. I nearly went nuts with it.
Ashley, I seriously don't know what to say of the whole workshop thing but I feel bad talking you into going to the workshop with me =_= *paisey*
1stly : her opening speech already kinda suck.
2ndly : Introduce yourself and why you want to be here today (what kind of question is that?) in the other word this is like asking people "hey you makan arr, when that person is clearly makan-ing"
3rdly : welcome her supporting team without a sense of appreciative, like for the sake of saying that only.
Lstly : she goes on and on telling how to choose your foundation that best match your skin type but without telling you how to choose the right shade *HUH* if this were meant to be Basic, How basic is that?
All in all, one word : SUCK
But I am glad that I got to see you, you look good regardless with or without makeup. I meant it wholeheartedly *wink*
p.s. Sue is cute ain't it :D
p.s.s. will find a place for a mini workshop of our own HAHAHAHA
Next time you can ask me if got any question about MAC i was with them for 3 years b4 and now still got work freelance with them... :)
@Elyn dearest
AHHHHHHHHH!! Don't be, I'm happy I went because I too have never been in a make up workshop before and what's best was that you were there with me! How syok is that! :D
LOL! Your 3rd point made me LOL!
awwwwwwwwwwwwwww... heee, wasn't my eyes really small and perhaps sleepy looking?? XD
P.s: Yeaaaaa, she's so cute!
P.s.s: I'll happily sign up for your classes even if it cost way more than MAC's.
*hugs you*
@Chris
Thankiesss, will do it when I have a question on a product or technique next time, thank youu!
Aah I didn't realize you had a new post! I love reading your posts ^_^!
Oh I love the glosses! The pink one looks really pretty on you! I usually wear a matte lipstick in a soft orange/red color. I recently got in to stains..it can be good, but a bit drying...
But I love the photo's! You and Elyn look really pretty! A MAC workshop sounds like fun...IF you learn something new. But kinda strange that the lady placed extra question marks, when you asked for a lighter foundation! She could at least hear you out or tested it out for herself...they are not always right if they think you are wrong -_-''. But for me, when I ask something, even though I know I'm right and they are wrong...I usually take their advice anyway...I don't know if I don't want to embarrass them or that I don't want to be in a confrontation...geez I can be soo confusing sometimes!
Oh yeah! about Coastal scents camouflage. I don't know whether one of your readers already tried it out. But after a few uses, I'm not soo sure if I like it that much, you really have to blend it out really goood...I'm not so sure if a wet sponge would work better with it...but I do know that I WON'T bring it along on a holiday or something...you have to mix and match the colors, it's good when you have more time on your hands, but I just want one 'slap it on' camouflage/concealer *sighs*
Hahaha... Ashley,Ashley. I was thinking what happened to your skin colour because you looked so fair when I first saw you. Hmm.. I think the shade did not suit you.
I envy you and Elyn for having the time to join the makeup talk by MAC ( even though it did not get good rating from the both of you).
Btw, you two look really pretty. Gorgeous ladies, I must say. Lucky you, Elyn always has time for you!
@JeanJean dear!!
Finally you're back! Whee!
LOL! NC25 wasn't even Elisa's colour T.T It was far too yellow and dull. But hey, do I look healthier? I meant to ask you and Elyn this :D
Something like, "Wah finally the skin got some colour" or somethingggg like that XD
Hey, Thank you JeanJean, you're so sweet *muaks* and yea I am lucky to have Elyn come over to hang out so often. Wish you lived near by too T.T
