Biore Makeup Remover for Eye & Lip

*Sponsored

Biore and I go back a long way, all the way back to when I was a pimply teenager. Fast forward and I am now a pimply woman. *LMAO* Some things never change.

I remember buying their oil control facial cleanser back when I was 12 and was really upset when they discontinued it.

If there's one thing I really love love love about Biore is their make up removers. ( Unfortunately there is a lack of love in the hair dye and sun block department) I started with the Makeup wipes then the Biore Perfect Oil and now, the Makeup remover for eye and lip.

The Makeup remover for eye and lip was actually sent to me by the Biore team. A BIG thank you to Caryn especially since my original package went missing in the mail.

Despite that, I'm going to be unbiased with my review. It's my name on the line, not Biore's so here goes.

I have tried a number of oil/water/whatever based facial cleansers for a long time, considering that I started using make up at 15 years old. Before Biore launched the make up removers, I was using ZA oil cleanser which I found that could remove heavy make up without much problem. Later on, due to being stingy, I bought a 'Korean brand' water based make up remover which as some might have guesses made me kneel on the floor screaming, ' MY EYES! OH GOD MY EYES!'

The main concern for a facial cleanser is no different from anyone, it had better remove medium to heavy make up, does not leave sticky residue and for me - the price is an important factor. (Yes, my middle name is el cheapo, nice to meet cha)

So let's see how well it works

Removed everyday make up without much scrubbing - check
No oily residue - check
Removes pain in the behind mascara without cursing - check
Doesn't require half bottle used to remove make up - check!

Amount used for whole face. Occasionally I do add extra for the super hard to remove mascara and do an additional wipe just to make sure I got everything off.

Pooh! Everyday make up is nothing. Lets try it on a day when I use super heavy make up. Add a horrible amount of eyeliner (which is something I use every single day) and happily drew on some whiskers.

It takes off this much from just ONE swipe. Not bad! Especially since I was using Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner underneath the brown liquid eyeliner.

*peeps over shoulders*

A short Holiday to KL; Hello Kitty stuffs etc, Kutsuwa key chain making kit, Etude House nail polish, Konad M59, Hada Labo

52 hour week ended up being just a dream; starting this month it will go up to about 55 hours on some weeks. *sigh*

Anyway, Sir Terrible Memory had to go down to Kuala Lumpur for his CFA exam so I happily tagged along for the ride. It was a relaxing 3 days with no phone calls, endless shopping and eating. A much needed break for me. Unfortunately for Sir Terrible Memory it was a stressful week/month leading up to his exam.

*Fingers crossed*

My face is still on a rampage and they don't seem to be going away. At my wits end, I decided to switch to Hada Labo from my usual skin care. My skin seems to be having hydration problem since I noticed that it has been excreting lots of sebum. Thankfully, after just 2 days, it has shown signs of improving. It might also have something to do with me switching over to a better make up remover too. I've started using the Biore Make up remover for eyes and lips (Review coming up next!)

With no Sir Terrible Memory by my side to control my spending, I ended up spending my money on knick knacks. *sniff sniff* I bought earrings for my sister, Soap& Glory body butter for mom and lots of cookies for family from Mark&Spencer (All distributed the moment I set foot in my house)

On my last trip to Singapore, I saw the red Hello Kitty lunch Bag and love it so much, unfortunately, it spoilt and I found the exact same on in KL. I happily bought 2. Along with the Hello Kitty mouse pad and Hello Kitty plastic bag.

Tadaaaa, the cute Hello Kitty plastic bag. I have no doubt, Penang's Daiso should have it soon but I couldn't resist. I also bought a weird looking hair bow hair clip. AHAHA!

I still have curly hair so it looks very odd on me. Not to mention the fake hair is super duper shiny; kinda like the girls in the shampoo commercials. But it's so cheap, it's hard to resist. I guess I could use it with one of my wigs.

Other than that, bought some over priced hair accessories from Sunway Pyramid Asian Avenue *kicked myself a few times after that* a Konad stamp M59 from some small shops in there for RM13

Sorry for the bad picture. I have taking pictures that has a reflective surface.

And even stopped by Etude House (as if we don't have one in Penang) and bought two nail colours with 30% discount. PK003 is a colour I can no longer find in the Penang Etude House. They don't seem to be restocking that much now and most of the nail colours are gone. BOOO!

Oh, I also got a size too big Hello Kitty T-shirt from Uniqlo. It was the only size left and I really wanted it. *sigh* Stupid me, should have checked another outlet first before being in a rush to buy this. But still, thank you Sir Terrible Memory!

And after all that, I finally got the Kutsuwa keychain making kit from Kinokuniya at KLCC. Whee! I been watching RRCherryPie on YouTube for a while now and his video inspires me. I am really happy I finally got my hands on it *rubs hands gleefully*

I actually just want the mold. The cookie mold is all that I wanted.. *wipe drool from mouth* All instruction are in Japanese and lucky me; the only word I can read is ... the full stop! Seriously. But it can't be that hard right? I mean, I watch RRCherryPie done this a dozen times! Instructions, distructions, who needs them?

Uhh.. then again. Thankfully, Sir Terrible Memory reads Japanese so I still have something to fall back on and when all fails - I have someone to blame! AHAHAHAAA!

*rubs hands gleefully while going.. OH HO HO HO HO HOOOOOO~*

Pimples galore, Bloops of goo Hello Kitty NOTD, Revlon Colorsilk in Brown Black, everyday EOTD

Working over 52 hours a week has finally taken it's toll. Especially on my face, not to mention ever since I permed my hair, I've been applying hair gel to it almost daily only to have uncontrollable pimples arriving by the Airbus A380.

Everything I use is of literally no use. So instead of scaring everyone off their dinner, laptops, computers. I'll just post up pictures of my NOTD.

Don't ask me about it, it really didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. I wanted flowers on the white background. My flowers looked like a bloop of goo, so I made lots of bloops of goo.

I have no idea why it looks dirty here. It looked fine to me in real life. Either my eyes aren't that great or the camera's dirty. Bleh!

Brainless rant

After all the hype about Liese Bubble Hair dye. I finally decide to give my 2 cents about it. Note that everyone's hair is different and what I say might not be accurate.

A while back, I dyed my hair with Liese Casis Berry. (link here) I found it super easy and super quick to do, a BIG plus for me. The colours were vibrant as Elisa has mentioned. She did warn me that the colours will come out lighter than on the box she she chose me a slightly darker colour.

I wrote on my blog then that my hair felt coarser after that and weeks after the dye job, my hair dried up - badly. Soon after the colours faded, I had straw like hair and it was horrendous. I then had to dye my hair using Loreal Casting Creme Gloss(?). I guess the series I took wasn't 'strong' enough cause it couldn't cover the Liese Casis Berry. After just a month, the colours faded and soon after I had a 3 tone hair. Great - NOT!

After all this months of hair and face disaster, I finally snapped and went to Watsons to purchase Revlon's ColorSilk in Brown Black and dyed it back to natural.

No more gelling hair so my curls are a mess, not to mention I tied my hair up the entire day and only let it down to take the picture

Brown Black? Liesssss, it's black black. Not that I am complaining. Yes yes, I look a little craze in the picture on the right. Well, I never said I was pretty. AHAHAHAA! My colleague took a look at me and said, "Uhh, don't worry we'll get use to it, just give us 5 days. 5 working days" LOL!

Don't get me wrong, I like Liese products but I guess this is just a miss for me.

A colleague told me that Liese was selling for only RM28+ over in Pacific Shopping Mall. I also found Sunshine supermarket at Penang Times Square selling them for only RM33 when Watsons was selling them for RM38.

Went to Watson yesterday to get some Biore Facial Wipes and saw that they were going for RM35 now!

Well since I am already posting up crazed looking pictures of myself why not post up one to make everyone save money by losing their appetites.

Lookie ma, no makeup!

It's a pity it wasn't a clear shot. Not to mention, the pimples got worst after that.
Most amazing thing? Sir Stingy took a look at me and waved his hands pooh-pooh when I was depressed and said, "Pimples will go away, it doesn't bother me."

This was taken while my pimples wasn't in full force yet. I used MAC paint pot in Let's Skate, Bobbi Brown's Mahogany e/s and gel eyeliner. Yes, this is my everyday work look. I am lazy. It doesn't change.

Thank you Elyn! *muaks muaks muaks*

MAC Lets Skate; NOTD Inspired by Hwannie

I'm not too sure what I got myself into now that I'm working alternate Saturdays and Sundays. I'm tired!

Anyway during one of the working Sundays, MAC was doing a roadshow at Gurney Plaza. After my shift, I went to nosy around and saw.. MAC Let's Skate and fell in love. It's been a while and despite just spending a good RM155 on a foundation less than a week ago, I bought this.

I know I'm suppose to feel guilty but looking at this makes me feel happy. It must be the sparkles.

Sorry Clara!

I also bought an eye lash glue since the one Elyn gave me 2 years ago has died on me. It smells funky and is no longer sticky so with a heavy heart, I had to let it go. Thank you Elyn! Thank you Glue. You both gave me happy memories! *sniff*

Edit: OMG! I totally forgot that the glue Elyn gave me beheaded itself and this was actually given to me by the super sweet and really gorgeous Clara of DlbChin (link here) I'm really embarrassed by the mistake though.. *sniff sniff*

And as if I have not been spending badly, I found a new toy. 3 weeks later, I bowed to temptation and got it. After doing price comparison between MagicBoo and Beautility, I got mine from MagicBoo in Perangin Mall. Acrylic Powder.

I also got the acrylic liquid. I was expecting it to smell like nail polish remover so I opened the bottle and took a sniff. I think my nose hair fell out after that.

It smelled so goddamned bad that I rather drive my car behind a garbage truck with the windows rolled down!!

I tried to play around with it but I didn't have the proper brush and doing my nails while holding my breath is no fun cause after a while your hands starts shaking.

So I scrap the entire idea and just watch YouTube for inspiration. I LOVE Hwannie's nails. She has such great ideas so I decided to copy her's with a little twist of my own.

So anyway I have not forgotten about the Bella's wedding look as well as Leah Dizon's look. Sorry it took so long tho..
Also I'll take a snap of the RMK's liquid foundation soon :D

NOTD: Tuxedo nails; RMK liquid foundation

Saw this a while back and I really liked the design, it seems fun and easy to do. I copied the design down into my little notebook and never forgot about it since. I wanted to do something for Halloween but orange with black polka dots later, I realised that seeing that many polka dots on my nails disturbs me.

So Tuxedos it is. I meant to do the ring finger differently - a lady in a red dress with a string of pearls on her "neck" but I forgot so ah the heck with it. It wasn't very neat because the black is actually GW Paints and not nail polish. It has a matte finish so I had to coat it with top coat to make it shiny and nice.

Items used:

GW paint in Chaos Black
GW paint in Blood Red
Elianto top coat
Elianto white nail polish
Stage base coat

Just to rant, I hate Stage base coat cause it stinks to high heavens. I hate Elianto's pink coloured base coat (the expensive one) cause it takes a bloody long time to dry and even after a while and if and when it does dry it remains sticky.

Thinking of getting a better top and base coat without having to go rob the bank. /sigh

E called me on her way to KL to ask if I still wanted the RMK liquid foundation. I happily said yes. Thankfully I just gotten my pay check or it would have been a no.

RM155?! What happen to the good old days when the most expensive foundation you ever heard of only cost RM120? Long gone!

I wasn't sure of my colour so I told E I wanted the lightest yellow base shade. I remember checking the internet and it was 101 or something. When I got it, I got a heart attack. It wasn't a shade I was expecting. It looked quite dark and yellow. Thankfully, the colour blended in nicely. Ahhh, now my face and neck is the same colour. For once anyway :P

The texture is very light and gel/water base type and blends easily. While others ended up with dewy looking skin, I ended up with a matte face. Oh well, not a big issue and it can be considered good in some ways.

Definitely need a base to go with this and the colour doesn't change to a different funky shade. Niceeeee.

Coverage is buildable. So far so good. Will post up pictures later

Hello Kitty nails; In2it lash conditioner, Vintage Rose nails, Maybelline Baby Lips

Yesss, nail infection gone and NOTD's back! I gave my nails a much needed one month break and now the fun begins again. Or so I hope. I cheered myself up during my torturous sore throat period by watching YouTube and came across this. It was just too cute and I had to try it.

Items used:
Elianto Top Coat
Elianto White
GW Paints in Blood Red*
GW Paints in Bad Moon Yellow*
GW Paints in Chaos Black *

*These aren't really meant for nails. They are actually acrylic paints for WarHammer models but they are non toxic.

Hewwoo Kitty!

They didn't turn out perfect but it makes me smile looking at them. Hee! Painting my right hand was a pain in the *toot* though but Thank God for all the trainings I've had.

But just a day before the Hello Kitty, I was inspired to do a Vintage Rose NOTD. The results? I couldn't wait to wash this off fast enough. The OPI I'm In-dia Mood for Love turned out a little dull and I didn't manage to pull this off. BAH!

Bah! Bah! Bah!

Bored + Watsons = Not good combi. I start buying nonsense. One of the things I got during one of my trips to Watson was the In2it Lash Conditioner Mascara. It contains moisturising ingredient and keratin to help strengthen eye lashes and also assist in setting lashes. All this for a mere RM12.50. [USD$1 = RM3]

But anyway during my lapse of better judgment and got sold into the advertisement, I bought it and I am interested to see if this was any good, after all my Fasio Eye Lash Base was finishing.

Please follow instructions. On my first day, I curled my lashes then applied this and in just a few minutes, my lashed drooped down and looked as if I didn't even bother to curl it. On the second day, I curled my lashed, applied the lash conditioner and curled it again. The effect was much much better. The curls stayed the entire day.

Before and after

It doesn't volumise as much as I would like but for RM12.50 it's not bad at all but I can't give all the credit to the Lash Conditioner since I am using Maybelline's Volum' Express Cat Eyes Mascara. My love for Maybelline is for the mascara ONLY.

*Stares at picture*

Lookie, I look as if I got big, boogly, gold fish eyes. o.O Interesting.

*points points*

A while back, Tahira from A look In a Creative Mind drew this for me and I LOVE the picture of the unicorn so much that when I spotted a stall in a Chinese Art Exhibition making small glass figurines, I specially requested for a unicorn.

My little Pony, My little Pony~ La la la laa la la laaaa~

I speak no Mandarin and the 'si-fu' (He's from China) spoke no English. It was a classic case of chicken talking to a duck. There was a lot of hand waving and broken Mandarin till my colleague stepped in to help translate.

I requested for a white unicorn with pink mane and blue eyes. Merely two days later, my unicorn died. Either that or it became an ordinary horse. It toppled off my hand bag and into the floor. The tail went one way and the body the other.

My poor unicorn!

I sat down on the floor and started crying. In the end, I super glued everything back again. AHAHA! And it looked fine and dandy except for the little chip on the ear :P

Oh and how's the Maybelline's Baby Lips? After one week, my lips does feel more moisturised. It feels much smoother and I don't wake up with dry lips even when I forget to apply it the night before.

It smells nice and doesn't taste funky. It's also feel lightweight, it doesn't feel as if you have something on. It doesn't stay on your lips too long, disappearing within 15 minutes or so.

Then again, while I was using Lip Smackers, my lips feels pretty good too. *scratch head* So erm, moral of story is, it doesn't matter the brand but if you use your lip balm diligently, you'll get nice smooth lips anyway (?).

Anyone else writing a review for this? I suck..
