Baby Doll FOTD

I was bored and the thought of doing a baby doll look came up, browse through the web and found this one picture that started everything, unfortunately, for some strange reason I forgot to save the picture.

This was done a couple of weeks ago (26th October to be exact, 2 days before the Purple Blue EOTD ) and I thought it was a little too silly to be posted up but then I remembered I did this look for fun; it's meant for laughs, please don't take this seriously. It's not meant to be a 'pretty' look and I expect comments along the line of "OMG, it's scary" and just a lot of laughter. Afterall, this is coming from someone who wrote a sonnet to a cupcake in her free time >.<;;

Note that this is not the usual Japanese Baby doll look which is usually very pink, cute and pretty, this is more towards exaggeration, silliness and on some parts, down right scary.

This is not the picture I used as reference but the looks is somewhat similar
Yammylicious

I'm envious the girl did her Cosmetic course, I didn't manage to scrap enough money to attend the one I wanted to XD

You can tell that this has been some time ago since, my contact lenses are still brown and I have not done my eyelash extension yet
Left to right: Pile on the foundation then the blusher; Apply some shimmery white eye shadow

*Sigh* My skin was looking fabulous then, everything went downhill after tremendous stress and during Halloween night, I used some wrong products which results in a bad breakout which I'm still trying to do 'breakout control' today. But despite the no problem skin then, I used a hell lot of foundation to achieve the fair complexion. In this case, I used the Elianto's fresh whitening foundation stick I got some time ago that turned out way too fair for me. Pile it on like no tomorrow, smooth it all out, apply loose powder and apply some blusher. I choose my pink-iest blusher, MAC Don't be Shy.

Applied some shimmery white eyeshadow, this was in a stick form and it burned my eye like *toot* It must have gone bad or something cause it seriously burned! It almost felt like applying chillies to your eyes. That aside, draw your black eyeliner, smudge it with a brown + black eye shadow and get your falsies ready.

Left to right: Falsies - DONE!; Here, admire my super thick make up XD

This look would have looked better if I had proper lower falsies but unfortunately, I don't. Not to mention, the picture which got me all inspired also didn't use the proper lower falsies. Draw my eye brows with a light hand, don on a wig, pin some flowers in my hair, put on a stupid look and ta-daaaa, you'll get this...

It's really times like this, I wish I know how to use photoshop

I'm fairly confident, my boyfriend won't have anything nice to say regarding this but please remember, this was done prior to Halloween and it's for fun :D

For some strange reason, I have the urge to re-do this entire look again. I'm not satisfied. Perhaps the next time, it ought to either be more wearable after all Halloween is not everyday or maybe it just ought to be sillier. More exaggerated. Maybe, I'll even use pink eyeshadow for a change. Hmmmm, decisions, decisions..

A mix of MAC Totally Fab and Totally It. Hmm... what a coincidence

Dr.Jart+

Left to right: Yay yay yay! Ooo.. reminds me of a sausage for unknown reasons

This was on my mind the entire time I was at work, gently teasing me, sending me running to the exit as soon as the clock hit 5pm. Thankfully, I've finished all work for the day so when the time came, I could run full speed ahead.

Lets play, spot the BB cream :D

The Dr.Jart+ Rejuvenating Blemish Base finally came much to my happiness. I must salute the seller though, the packaging was one of the best I've ever seen! o.O Tore off the endless wrapping, note the endless and finally the silver box peeped though and I could hear the choir of "Hallelujah" behind me.

Ohhhhhhh baybeh~

The wrappers all lying next to me, the box didn't seem that big anymore. I didn't expect myself to splurge on another BB cream so soon after I bought the BRTC but the colour for the BRTC Protect Multiplex Balm didn't quite suit me after all but despite it all, I will continue using it since at the very least it's somewhat helps the skin. The stress I've been through lately made my skin condition pretty bad with many new 'diamonds' (as my mom puts it) popping out but it's getting much better now *phew*

Left to right: The ingredients; Squeezed too much and the colour looks pretty dark *sweatdrop*

Atleast I confirmed for a fact now that me and JeanJean is somewhat has the same skin tone. As much as I would have loved to meet her, my chance has not come just yet. I.MUST.MEET.HER.

P.s: Elyn, mana you? I miss you too T.T

Left to right: Spread the loveeeeeee; Comparison/ difference

I'm guessing this would be the last BB cream I'll be buying for a long time to come. Not going to buy anything till I finish either the BRTC or the Dr.Jart+. I have not tried this BB cream on my face just yet, will do that tomorrow but so far, from what I gather the texture is not as thick as BRTC and it spreads easily. The skin with the Dr.Jart+ looks dewy and glowy, me likey! Despite the initial colour, after spreading it, the colour turns out pretty fair, I'm seriously hoping it'll match my skin tone. I would kick myself on the ass if it turns out too fair and end up looking like my usual dead self.

Ahh, what's this? This is entirely my fault of course, a act of stupidity when I tried using my nails to put in a keychain. My nail broke in half. Note the half. I ended up clipping everything off and even then, I now need to wait for a long time for my nails (where it cracked) to be safe to cut. *sigh* What a hassle. Despite all that, I can't stop admiring my short nails, heeeee. To finally be able to touch the keyboard again after so many months feel so damned good.

Ahahahahhahahaa! I found you

Jiun and I went shopping for my working shoes. Never thought buying working shoes would be such a major pain in the behind. Yes, I'm fussy but hell, who wants to wear boring looking shoes? I just cannot bring myself to wear boring, Aunty looking shoes. I must have my heels! I don't accessorize myself with anything fancy so to pair it with boring shoes? No thanks! I was just about to give up when we decided to head over to Charles & Keith for a quick browse. Glad to have a guy who actually have pretty good taste. *phew*

Thank You

A couple of years.
and I'm gonna know your name.
it's like I waited for you forever.
and I know this might sound insane.
but it won't be long
til' we're gonna take this up.
what I'm talking about our future love.

walking hand in hand.
going on the second date.
i can picture how we're touching
and the kiss I can almost taste.
i imagine the all the ways.
we meet for the very first time.
i can see the place, feel the love, at first sight.

- Kristina DeBarge, Future Love

On love:
If there was someone out there for all of us, I think I just might have found mine. I love how perfectly his hands fits into mine, the way he smells, he way he grins and laugh and the respect he has for me.

The moment you walked into the shop, you caught my attention, how was I to know I'll end up falling for you? You've always been so shy, with the subtle hints and inability to express your feelings or was it that I was just plain blur for not noticing earlier. But when you held my hands, looked me in the eyes and told me I was perfect, I was sold. I lived my life waiting to hear those words and I'm happy it came from someone I loved.

baby if they ask me.
i would say I don't even know your name.
and when they ask me:
does it change?
no it don't change a thing.
'cause it's something about the way you love me.
and it's something about the way you know me.
that I can't explain enough.

I know it now and I'm glad I know you. Despite the short amount of time we knew each other, I thank you for being there for me when I needed someone the most. To willingly stand by my side and fight with me, I, thank you for the love, support and for your trust.

it's so far away.
and baby you're right next door.
got me picturing your face again.
something worth waiting for.
i put all others behind me.
they don't live up.
i know what I want, what I need, to the T.

On friends:
I grew up not having much friends, with time, I found one after another. I look back and not have any regrets for all the friends I have now, I don't care what 'others' might perceive them to be for they do not know them as well as I do, I am proud to call them friends. In the hour of need, they stood by me and gave me both moral and physical support. How can I not be thankful. To be my shoulder to cry on, the hands that held me up and the strength to do what I did. This is my thank you.

Everyone played a role in my life and in the end, everything added up and helped me grew up a little bit more.

BRTC Protect Multiplex BB cream

Noted that my SkinFood Aloe BB cream was finishing and I wasn't too keen on buying another one since I find it a little on the oily side. Was wondering if I should try the Mushroom one when I caught sight of BRTC.

It cameeeeeeeee! Yay!

I think by now, everyone should know what the hell is BRTC, afterall, I jumped on the bandwagon probably a good one year late if not more :P Was never all that interested since I liked my Etude House Precious Mineral BB cream quite a bit and I kept my promise to myself to only start buying after The Skin Food Aloe BB cream finished.

Mangled and squashed box + one free sample of the BRTC Glossy BB Cream; The BB cream

I was interested in the BRTC Gold Caviar seeing how it actually helped improve people's skin rather than just concealing and masking. After endless research and some recommendation, I ended up buying the BRTC Protect Multiplex with SPF20. I don't quite remember the sudden change of heart but I thought "Ah, what the heck!". I think one of it was because I got the impression that Gold Caviar is slightly too tanned for me. Both was priced at RM100 with free shipping.

Ingredients listed behind

So la dee dah, it came and happily, I tried it on. Had a minor heart attack, picked my self up, got dressed and went out on a date, all this while my face and neck in different shades. It was too late to wipe everything off and start again. Of course, to the person I was with, he didn't notice anything different till I pointed it out but to me, it was obvious the shade was wrong!
Left to right: Shade comparison, it a deceiving BB cream, the shade is much pinker than captured on camera; reminds me of McD's chocolate ice cream, the one on the cone :D

Serves my self right since I did read JeanJean's review on this product and knew that it was too tanned for her. I just kept telling myself that I'm probably tanner than JeanJean. The shade would probably fit someone with a MAC NC20-25. FYI, I'm a MAC NC15.

BRTC Protect Multiplex with SPF2o is more on the pink undertone which is what makes my face and neck so different since I'm more to yellow undertone. But despite all this, I took the risk and wore this to work. It might also have something to do with the fact that a totally random doctor who walked past me commented I was pale. I didn't bite him cause he didn't look delicious...

People have complained that BRTC BB cream tends to oxidizes to a darker shade, I find that the swatches on website proves this true but I also know that for some extremely strange reason, whether it's powder or BB cream or whatever, it oxidize to a slight lighter shade for me. Which I thank God for if not, I'll be walking around in a very tanned face and fair...everything else. How odd I'll look. I doubled check under natural lighting to make sure I wasn't imaginating things to make myself happy :D

But anyway I wore it to work without problem today. I was slightly, a tiny bit tanner than usual but I'm somewhat happy since it made me look a little healthier. Not the, "I AM ANEMIC, Feed me" walking, talking signboard.

So in all, the coverage is pretty good, no need for concealer after application, also the coverage is buildable. Texture is thick and a pain in the behind to spread. Warm it up between your finger tips to make it easier to spread. I was pretty worried when I came to around my eye area. It can feel a little bit sticky after application though. Not a problem after applying loose powder.

Will now aim to check out some Missha BB cream when I head to Singapore and to test out some other BRTC BB creams namely the Jasmine Water, Gold Caviar at Watson/Guardian and when everything fails, I'll just get the Dr.Jart+ online. Fool proof plan. Yay!

NOTD + Buttons headphones + GEO Honey Wings in Gray

I know my hidden looks can be deceiving
But how obvious should a girl be?
I was taken by the early conversation piece
And i really like the way that he respect me

I've been dropping so many hints
You’re still not getting it
Now that you’ve heard everything i have to say
Where we gonna go from here?

After waiting patiently for him to come and get it
He came on through and asked me if i wanted to get with him
I knew i had my mind made up from the very beginning
Won't miss this opportunity so you and me could feel it
'cause:

If you're ready for me boy
You'd better push the button and let me know
Before i get the wrong idea and go
You're gonna miss the freak that i control

- Sugarbabes, Push the button

Left to right: I stared for a day before opening; It comes with a cute brown bag!!! <3

Buttons! Buttons earphones in pink, aren't these the cutest earphones you've seen? Well, for me anyway, excuse me while I prance around in my room in them. Pinky Doodle Doo got them for me as thanks for a cheap pair of shoes I got her... Ugh. T.T

Why do I suddenly sound like a bloody cheapskate? ARGH! Pinky Doodle Doo promised to get a pair for me as she headed out for a date and I told her to get me a cheap pair. Something not over Rm30 *snort* I forgot, my sister never listens to me. She happily sms-ed a while later to tell me she bought me the cutest pair of earphones for an amount way way over the amount I told her to get me. Yup, that's my sister for you.

A pair of giant buttons on the side of my head. Hey if Frankenstein had his bolts, I'll have my buttons (yes yes, it was on his neck but lets ignore that fact)

NOTD : Pink and Black Stripes

Did this on one hand just to try things out. I did mistakes by making the stripes a little too thick, Can't help it since I didn't have the proper nail brushes to make the much thinner stripes. This was an experiment that last only less than an hour *sigh*

Will re-do this look when I have the time. The ribbons were a total pain in the behind. Came off in record time when I redid the look but replace the stripes with white french tips with black polka dots.

Hmmmmm~ Aku give up la!

GEO Honey Wing lenses in gray

After I threw away my old brown pair after the Thailand trip, I am left with only the gray pair. The gray turns out much darker than I expected. I usually like my gray to be slightly lighter in colour but this doesn't bother me too much. I need to start ordering stands-by.

Left to right: The difference between the brown and gray pair
Yessssss... see the damn false looking extensions?

Oh one more thing, I started my new job today. So far so good *fingers crossed* but seriously, overall, today was one of the best days I had in a long long time. Had a quick lunch with my Love outside my work place since the cafeteria where I work sold nothing but vegetarian food. Checked out the menu of the day while on the computer and saw nothing but rabbit food (as Luke puts it), there was a few dishes with mock "chicken" though. The 'mock' put me off... along with the price :P

My baby Love

退屈な毎日が急に輝きだした
あなたが現れたあの日から
孤独でも辛くても平気だと思えた
I’m just a prisoner of love
Just a prisoner of love

病める時も健やかなる時も
嵐の日も晴れの日も共に歩もう

Stay with me, stay with me
My baby, say you love me
Stay with me, stay with me
一人にさせない

Short trip + Halloween + NOTD

Its been some time since I last updated. Went on a quick trip to pray (at temples) and make wishes. I'm a sucker for wishes. It was a fun trip, everything's always fun when you're surrounded by friends and shopping. I won't be posting up what I bought this round since I don't want people calculating in their minds just how much I have spent and where on earth I got my money from - again!

Ooo.. Someone has been using Babel Fish

This trip is hardly different from the last except that I did went over my budget twice. Bought myself some T-shirts, more flats for me and Pinky Doodle Doo, enough Pocky for someone to have it come out if his/her nose, more skincare from Boots, went for a massage that ended with me with bruises and broken veins - WTF?!, did the eyelash extension - again! Despite complaining endlessly about it the last time because I realize the last time I removed them myself, I pulled out alot of my own eyelashes and it's practically bald. Mascara no longer helps so I decided to just grit my teeth and do it. I finally found the words to describe the procedure. Intense almost unbearable itching with a slight burning sensation. Elisa agrees.

I was down with eye infection the day before I headed down and it went from right eye to left eye to the right eye again. I was going crazy! E pointed out that it was probably the contact lenses, so I threw them away. *sniff* Bye bye my temporary problematic love. I shall miss my brown eyes.

While in Thailand, we headed to a pub called Bar Berry and the music there was fantastic. I do not know who the DJ was but I started clubbing at about 10 years ago and this is the BEST DJ I ever heard. The songs remix was fantastic. I might love to head over to SS in Penang but noticed that the music played there can be awful and most of the time, we stand around staring at one another waiting for some nice songs to dance to come along. Boooo!

Before I left for the trip, lots of things happen all within last week and it's been hectic. Lots of drama, tears, shouting, blood (:P), eye infection and finally the light at the end of the tunnel (No, decided not to kill myself after all XD) it was one memorable week. But I'm the type of person that believes that everything happens for a reason, there's always up and downs and during the times when it hits the bottom, I always remind myself that it has reached bottom and the only way now is up! Not too shabby for a person with a depression problem huh?

But during this time, I also found strength, support and love. Not too bad at all.

But anyway on Friday, we celebrated Halloween (it was early) in GameForge, Penang. I felt like an utter idiot before everyone started showing up in costumes as well and by the time E & K arrives, it was practically in full swing.

Left to right: Kern as a cat, Nurse Elisa (off duty), me and Irene; a fellow female gamer, I totally love her costume.. *drools*

Tadaa, the whole bunch of gamers at GameForge. We have people ranging from crazy doctors, terrorist, Freddy Kruger, Chairman Shen and one pirate.

Taken way later outside SS with Sulin. The weird stares I got nearly made me go amok and start clawing people

The dress's details, awful shot, my hair was covering most of the outfit

I noted that people enjoy tugging my wig and that pisses the shit outta me. I am NOT bald, and yes, I AM wearing wig. Even that does NOT give you the right to tug at my wig as a form of greeting. Stupid people. I was lucky it came off on the ride home and not before. I got dresses in a rush so I forgot to bobby pin the wig to the hair net. *sigh* Seriously, stop tugging!

I can't believe I forgot to write about the NOTD. *sigh*

A few days before the trip, Kern passed me her Konad stamps for me to play with and I didn't know what to do with them. I got super lazy and didn't know what to do with my nails, so I trim them shorter. Despite the fact that none chipped or broke. I painted in all gold and that was it. Later I read and saw JeanJean's NOTD and realized that yea, it was time to brush the cobwebs off the plates and use them too. I opt for a intricate butterfly design but couldn't get the design off the plate. So F that, and I stuck to the much simpler design of criss crosses.
