BRTC Protect Multiplex BB cream

Noted that my SkinFood Aloe BB cream was finishing and I wasn't too keen on buying another one since I find it a little on the oily side. Was wondering if I should try the Mushroom one when I caught sight of BRTC.

It cameeeeeeeee! Yay!

I think by now, everyone should know what the hell is BRTC, afterall, I jumped on the bandwagon probably a good one year late if not more :P Was never all that interested since I liked my Etude House Precious Mineral BB cream quite a bit and I kept my promise to myself to only start buying after The Skin Food Aloe BB cream finished.

Mangled and squashed box + one free sample of the BRTC Glossy BB Cream; The BB cream

I was interested in the BRTC Gold Caviar seeing how it actually helped improve people's skin rather than just concealing and masking. After endless research and some recommendation, I ended up buying the BRTC Protect Multiplex with SPF20. I don't quite remember the sudden change of heart but I thought "Ah, what the heck!". I think one of it was because I got the impression that Gold Caviar is slightly too tanned for me. Both was priced at RM100 with free shipping.

So la dee dah, it came and happily, I tried it on. Had a minor heart attack, picked my self up, got dressed and went out on a date, all this while my face and neck in different shades. It was too late to wipe everything off and start again. Of course, to the person I was with, he didn't notice anything different till I pointed it out but to me, it was obvious the shade was wrong!
Left to right: Shade comparison, it a deceiving BB cream, the shade is much pinker than captured on camera; reminds me of McD's chocolate ice cream, the one on the cone :D

Serves my self right since I did read JeanJean's review on this product and knew that it was too tanned for her. I just kept telling myself that I'm probably tanner than JeanJean. The shade would probably fit someone with a MAC NC20-25. FYI, I'm a MAC NC15.

BRTC Protect Multiplex with SPF2o is more on the pink undertone which is what makes my face and neck so different since I'm more to yellow undertone. But despite all this, I took the risk and wore this to work. It might also have something to do with the fact that a totally random doctor who walked past me commented I was pale. I didn't bite him cause he didn't look delicious...

People have complained that BRTC BB cream tends to oxidizes to a darker shade, I find that the swatches on website proves this true but I also know that for some extremely strange reason, whether it's powder or BB cream or whatever, it oxidize to a slight lighter shade for me. Which I thank God for if not, I'll be walking around in a very tanned face and fair...everything else. How odd I'll look. I doubled check under natural lighting to make sure I wasn't imaginating things to make myself happy :D

But anyway I wore it to work without problem today. I was slightly, a tiny bit tanner than usual but I'm somewhat happy since it made me look a little healthier. Not the, "I AM ANEMIC, Feed me" walking, talking signboard.

So in all, the coverage is pretty good, no need for concealer after application, also the coverage is buildable. Texture is thick and a pain in the behind to spread. Warm it up between your finger tips to make it easier to spread. I was pretty worried when I came to around my eye area. It can feel a little bit sticky after application though. Not a problem after applying loose powder.

Will now aim to check out some Missha BB cream when I head to Singapore and to test out some other BRTC BB creams namely the Jasmine Water, Gold Caviar at Watson/Guardian and when everything fails, I'll just get the Dr.Jart+ online. Fool proof plan. Yay!

Hey babe, this topic really caught my interest as it involves BB cream ! I know from who you bought because my friends just bought two tubes of the same BB cream from her. They too, complained that the BB cream is too pinkish for their yellow- undertoned skin. My BRTC BB cream is happily residing inside my shelf , not because it's not good, the shade is too obvious on my face.

The BB cream is very good for acne-prone skin, I must admit. You're so fair, I guess you need really little to use as it's really pinkish.

Yup ! Try Dr Jart if you need BB cream with very fair shade.

Finally I know someone who has tried BRTC! Locally I mean, coz I seldom see much reviews on this. And the shade itself looks dark :X

@Hey JeanJean dear
I really wish, I gave a better thought about it before i bought this *sigh* stupid me.

I'm gonna take your advise and buy Dr.Jart+

@Sue
Hey dear,
It is darkkkkk... >.<

Skin79 I have not tried since I heard the shade is even darker than BRTC. Check out jeanjean's blog, she has done a good job by covering both BRTC and skin79 along with other brands of BB cream :D
