Pigments Addiction

Ever walked into a M.A.C counter and saw some pigments that you want but decide that it's a little pricy and have no use for that much pigments? Well, I know I have. That's why most of my pigments are all only sample size ranging from 1/4 tsp to 1/2 tsp.

All except the super versatile Vanilla pigment which I got from Singapore after endless and fruitless scouting in both KL and Penang, that I use in my almost everyday look.

I know, it sounds kinda sad that all I have is actually just ONE miserable jar of pigment but truthfully I'm fine that way, I really can't afford to get every jar pigments that catches my eyes especially if I'm not sure if it'll look good on me. Not to mention, Penang M.A.C counter sells onlylimited editions and not the permanent line pigments.

So most of the time, the thing that I do is to get sample size of them from a reliable source. Note the reliable source. I have dealt with lots of untruthful pigment seller in my time buying stuffs online.

There really isn't alot of pigment seller to begin with and I have the opportunity to meet two pretty bad ones. Let me share my stories with you.

Scenario 1
I bought 1/4 tsp of pigments and it came looking like I ordered 1/8tsp looking all miserable and little. I was seriously shocked with the quantity I got from the person. I figured that perhaps it's heavy or something but thinking long and hard, the quantity was just too little. It was the first and last time for me.

Scenario 2
Can I say that it was the worst pigments ever made /produced? I admit that it was fine milled but the colour payoff was awful beyond words, I was unfortunate to have ordered a quite large quantity that now sits happily collecting dust. I had initially thought that maybe it was because I didn't know how to use pigments but later I found out that I wasn't the only one that complained and disliked the pigments. Till today, I'm not even entirely sure what's the name of the pigments I got. Bloody hell.

That's one good reason for me to stick to the very few pigments that I've tried, tested and bloody hell trust that it's good and even prompt me to import in my own NYX pigments from the USA.

But if there's really one pigment seller that I trust without a doubt, it's Enpointe. She's been selling sample size pigments since 2005 and I'm not paid to advertise for her but she is definitely one reliable, prompt and responsible seller that I have no problems with and my main MAC pigment supplier. (I've added her website to my sidebar)

If anyone's interested in getting any M.A.C, Mad Minerals or Sweetscents pigments from her, do visit her website and drop her a mail order. She's one hell of a person with lots of patience. I would know, I can be quite 'chong hei' or fussy when it comes to ordering stuffs online after getting ripped off a couple of times.

Ordered on Thursday, paid on Saturday, received my little piggies by Monday. Is that superb service or what? Love love love love her service and her professionalism. Fantastic! I can't stop raving about her!
