Daiso Charcoal Masque

The last time I went down to KL, I headed over to Daiso at the Curve and bought a couple of stuffs home happily. I mistaken the Daiso Charcoal Cleanser that JeanJean raved about as the Charcoal Masque and bought the Masque instead.

The Charcoal masque and cleaner is almost identical, only the size and some other minor difference

Reaching home, I hurriedly went to check what JeanJean bought and to my horror found my mistake. JeanJean hated the masque and I was really worried. I told myself that perhaps the mask didn't suit Jean and it might not be too bad just to consol myself. The other internet reviewers rave about how well the masque is so what better thing to do but to try and judge it myself.

Gross, gross and more gross.
Left to right: While wet, what it looks like after it dries

Being the smarty pants that I am, I 'smartly' applied the masque to my entire face. I can't help it, I don't read Japanese and those words are as good as scribbles to me! It apparently is 'supposely' good to pull out whiteheads or something and usually applied to the nose and chin area. I just had to be smarter. Sheesh.

It takes a bloody long time to dry and there's 'holes' as you can see above forming, it you don't apply thickly. The tearing off part hurts. It's a good thing that I'm really used to all this peeling/tearing abuse or I would have scream till Kingdom come.

The result:
Nil, Nothing. My skin didn't look any different from before I put it on, little to no black/white heads got pulled out. It aggitated my skin and made it even redder. The only thought I had was that I had totally wasted my time putting this thing on.

My review is in no way biased or influenced by what JeanJean said. It's because I really saw no improvement of any sort after trying it out a total of three times. I applied thicker the seconds time on and still it failed to be as good or half as good as my The Face Shop's white mud nose pack which really does wonders.

Although this only cost RM5. My opinion would be, save yourself the extra RM5 and go treat yourself and a friend to McD's chocolate sundae.

Hello Kitty Bedsheets at 25 years old?!?!

Woke up early today cause I wanted to head over to the temple and pray and after praying, dad left me and my mom to go shopping at Gama Shopping Complex. Man, that place is practically ancient and it looks exactly the same like what, 20 years ago?

But while browsing around, I spotted a Hello Kitty bedsheets, grabbed it and saw that it was on sale too and happily went to pay for it while laughing something like, "NYAHAHAHAHAHAHA" all the way to the counter.

After paying and before heading off to browse other floors, I was suddenly overcome with the feeling of, "WTF?! I just bought a Hello Kitty bedsheets and I'm 25 years old!!" kind of feeling. So now, it's lying on the floor of my room staring at me. Guess since I already bought it, I'll just use it. Not as if I have guys coming in to my room or anything. Nyahahahahha! :D

Question of the day
(to all female readers, males can also choose to answer): Would you wear a pink Hello Kitty underwear? XD

What the hell was I thinking?!?

After shopping, I told my dad that I wanted to go to the clinic, apparently I had an eye infection from either the horrible weather, crying too much the past week to whatever other nonsense. It's been irritating me for days and because of this, I couldn't do a MAC Color Craft EOTD. I saw it online and feel in love with the EOTD and wanted to try it out. Dad took me to a government clinic instead at Tg. Bungah. I agreed since the medicine should be better and it's way cheaper.

WARNING: Disturbing picture ahead!

I couldn't really see it so I did the next best thing; took a picture instead. The reciept for the consultation and medicine = RM1

Way cheaper it was, cost me RM1 for two items; Chlorop Eye Ointment and a eye drop. This is the only *ahem* one of the very very few things good about this country. Our politicians sucks chicken ass, our education system also sucks chicken ass but our health care system = Yay!

Later, feeling bored and fat, I jumped into my jeans, hopped around maniacally trying to force my zippers shut and went to the gym. Kern nor Su Lin was free so I went myself and it was a little lonely. I exercised and waited for the Belly Fitness aka Belly Dancing to start. That class confirmed everything. I have no sense of hand and foot coordination and in some cases belly, hand and foot coordination.

I thought to myself halfway through: My first and LAST lesson

It was my first ever belly dancing class and although I was told I did good, I felt so embarrassed no being able to direct any parts of my own to do what I wanted. I wasn't agile nor quick footed, and I danced with the grace of a hippopotamus... on land!

Best move: Shimmy,
Worst move: Everything else

Left to right: Me, Kern and Su Lin, Darren cutting the cake, good thing he's really good in maths, look at his concentration on how to cut the cake into 10-12 pieced equally

The pictures of my Birthday is finally up a BIG thanks to Kern. I know she took a bit of time cause there was quite a lot of pictures and the worst thing was that because of my dress being short, some pictures had to be either editted or scapped altogether because I was *ahem* flashing? Is that the word? MUHAHAHAHAHAA.. Hey, I didn't realize it myself till I saw the pictures, okay. It wasn't on purpose.

Elisa came way later and because it was so late then, we didn't manage to take any pictures together. I was actually wishing that Elyn and JeanJean would be here with me but it was too late to even ask anyone out. I wouldn't want Elyn to drive home all alone in the middle of the night.

Darren aka Uncle P, is currently away in Taiwan and I must shamefully admit that I miss him around. So to keep myself entertained, I got a great idea when I logged into facebook and saw this;

Left to right: Kern, Elisa, Edgar, Darren and me

*whistles innocently*

It's a good thing, Uncle P doesn't read my blog...NYAHAHAHHAHHAA!

Heh!

A big massive thank you once again everyone!
Indian chief hat picture is from google :D

My 25th Birthday - Wheeee Thank you everyone!

I know this post is long overdue and I've been feeling a little too bum to write anything. But every time I'm down, I go over to Elyn's blog and upon leaving her blog will leave me smiling goofy to myself.

The whole entire last week was fast heading towards the dump starting with the wig incident, then the dress incident, then the ring incident and after a lot of other minor and thens, finally on Wednesday night out of frustration and boredom I surf the web aimlessly and decided to read what others has updated their blog about. I saw that Elyn has an entry with my name on it! Onwards hoooo and went to see what it was all about.

I came back to my blog sniffling and crying then grinning like a mad woman. Never in my life had someone do so much for me. It was so touching. Although I felt all shy about the way she described me but still, I was so happy to see that I meant something to her as much as she meant something to me.

She posted up a YouTube video with a short speech and all. It was all so unexpected for me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! And you looked fantastic Elyn! Best part is, everytime I miss her, I can just take a look at the video. Heheeee~

As well, a big thank you to Ryan and Tyiki for helping Elyn with the video that meant so so much to me!

The funny card that gave me a scare when I first opened it, didn't expect the music. muahahah! Silly me

On Thursday afternoon, I went out to meet Elyn as promised a week ago. I didn't expect anything from her as she has already given me an unbeatable gift the night before, and ta-daa towards the end of our meeting, she passed me a box which I shall now knight as my Happy box.

My happy box :D

I was initially confused with the big box because I do remember that Elyn once mentioned the extra Stila Tinted Moisturizer she bought was for my b-day when I drooled at it. So here I was thinking wow, did the tinted moisturizer needed such a big box??

And Elyn went on to say that she hoped I will like the things she bought and how I should slowly unwrap my lovers? Ehh? Why is there a 's' behind 'things' and 'lovers'? She then continued to tell me that it woud be a box every make up novice should need. My eyes went wide. Huh?

Le Mystery~ or is it La? Oh Le Le, Oh La La~ *does happy dance infront of box*

Once home, I took everything out and stared. So many things! In total 10 items to match my birthday number plus an extra special Pink Mickey Mouse hand santizer from Pita dearest! I'm not showing off the items to make anyone feel anything but I just wanted to share my happiness with everyone.

Isn't it strange how a person your friend met online that you meet and totally fall in love with can do so much to make your birthday a memorable one? Not the sexual way, don't want David to come and beat me up >.<;; If you read Elyn's blog, you should know how we met. We met through Elisa and my first meeting was in Nando's Gurney Plaza. I actually troubled her when I mentioned that I wanted to buy something from her blog that she wasn't going to sell anymore and I was sitting there all nervous and wondering if I should or shouldn't have asked her about wanting it. So here she enters and I was sitting next to her gawked when I saw this beautiful person with absolutely no airs talking to me like an old friend. I instantly loved her. No questioned asked about her or what was her surname even or anything. I instantly decided that I loved her. Isn't it so weird?

Lo and behold, the precious loot inside the happy box!
Thank you too Pita dearest!

As I unwrapped my 'lovers' slowly, my throat keep getting tighter and tighter. When I finally done unwrapping everything, I stood back and looked with tears falling off my face. I'm too speechless to describe more but I think it's easy to understand why I'm just so speechless. Above are the things that I secretly liked or needed.

I never had a tinted moisturizer before and after seeing Elyn, I ooh and ahh-ed hating the fact that Stila has closed down. The Stila eye shadow palette was something I had considered for a long time while standing at the counter to get or not to get. In the end, due to budget constraint was something I never got. The Heroine make up base was also something I've always wondered about while browsing Sasa for make up base. I like using make up base alot since I don't exactly have flawless skin and seeing how bloody lazy I am, my make up usually last or should last me atleast 12 hours. I didn't know what was the Lumiere Sheer Silk powder was for till I watch tv. I saw it it went hand in hand with the tinted moisturizer. Ohhh!

Duo adhensive was the first to be used out of everything. I needed an eyelash glue so badly I considered buying one from MAC. I bought one from Daiso a couple of weeks ago and I must say that it's worth the RM5 but that's that. This one was fablous. I love it! It stays on very well and so easy to remove. Yes people, it's my first time using expensive eyelash glue. >.<;; ELF eye primer and liner seal, I'm crazy about eye primers so enough said, whee hee! Toookiiidooookiiiiii for Smashbox. I'm crazy about Tokidoki stuffs but it sucks chicken ass that it's limited edition and I have absolutely no clue how or where to even start looking for them so when I saw that Elyn has given me one. I smiled and smiled.. and then grinned like a monkey. Happiness!!

Left to right: Tokidoki for smashboz in Dolcissima (very sweet) a peachy sparkly shade, Stila palette

Oh and Urban Decay stuffs are something I would never buy, far far too expensive for me. And ta-daa, I got the UD Primer Potion! Can you believe it? I know I can't. I would like to stare at it and pinch myself a couple more before I actually open and use it. Heeee~

Overall, yes I was jumping in joy in my room, any higher and my ceiling fan would have given me a brand new, free haircut.

The night itself, I headed out to meet Elisa, Kern and Su Lin for ice cream at Haagen Dazs, Elisa came just to watch the shop close. She was utterly late and since me and Kern was waiting for her, we drooled watching Su Lin finish her choc choc chocolate ice cream and never got to order any. But all was fine. Darren was suppose to meet us but he got caught up 'entertaining' i.e: drinking with his client and never made it. BOO! Well since I'm not exactly paying him his salary, can't complain much.

Off we pile into Su Lin's car and went to a hotel's lounge for some drinks. Why I'm reluctant to name the hotel is because the lounge singers were so bad they were hilarious. Forgotten lyrics, out of tune and later as I was walking out the door, I can see the main male singer sitting on the sofa picking his teeth with his fingers. Major turn off. Gross!!!

I looked tired right? I was :D

Birthday day @ 10 July

Even the clouds were pink and blue for my birthday!
Yes yes, I'm allowed an inflated ego for a day~

Painted my nails in OPI Sweet Memories, stick on the nail stickers from Elyn months ago and painted and gagged everyone in the car with my top coat smell.
Yes yes, I'm allowed to be brainless for a day~

Since I'm no longer working and mom knew that I probably wanted to celebrated my birthday with my friends at night, she arranged for a lunch time celebration buffet at E&O Hotel. The food was great, stuff myself to the point of bursting and also partly because I didn't have any dinner the night before so yes, I was starving. Good thing that I wore the dress I wore, it was pale dull-ish pink that I bought months ago at Queensbay Mall while shopping with Elyn. It was a very comfortable dress and best part, doesn't hug any part of the body thus I can eat without appearing to be pregnant. Mom thought I was a little OVERdressed and seeing everyone in jeans made me feel kind of worried. Then I saw a lady in an evening dress and thought to myself, "THANK YOU FOR COMING!"

XD

Left to right: Me and me Ma whom I call Mi, me and me Pa whom I call Di, Nyahahahhahaa!
Mom laughed and said I looked like Micheal Jackson when she saw my picture with my dad. No my nose is not falling off nor can I sing or dance like him, my bank account isn't anywhere near his but apparently I'm ghastly white like he is...

When I was younger everyone told me that I looked like my dad which made him super proud, no one ever tells me that anymore thought but he doesn't have to know. I sometimes wonder who I take after more now. My elder sis is a younger version of my mom but I seem to be neither here nor there. Gah! I knew it! I was adopted! Kidding..

My goofy sis and I, we look alike in pictures but in real life, if I were to hold her hands in public, they'll think we're lesbians. Sad

Dinner with the Clubhouse Boys and Girls :D

Darren booked a steamboat restaurant to celebrate my birthday and invited all my friends and forgot to invite me, the birthday girl along. *snort* There was a bit of a miscommunication which I must admit left me a little frustrated.

Then again, since it was meant to be a surprise and me not having a clue about it, saw that I was free for the evening and decided to have a dinner in conjuction with mine and Hockster's (the guy on the front row wearing blue) birthday. But in the end, dinner with the Clubhouse boys were good - as usual. Its been some time since I last joined them for dinner or headed over to the CH for movie night or something so it was a good catch up time!

Many many thanks to Capes for the red packet and Big Daddy Padios for the ice cream vouchers (camera with sis, can't take pics of the cute vouchers) and Pinky Doodle Doo who also gave me a red packet!

Later after dinner, I headed over to Red Box karaoke with Su Lin, Kern and the rest. I never realize how soft my own voice is or what the hell is wrong with the microphone. It can never pick up my voice and then everyone accuse me of not singing when in fact I was. Then again, I got an awful singing voice so it's good. I can't sing to save my life or anyone's life in fact. In fact too much of my singing might land you in the ICU even!

Left to right: Su Lin's pressie, Dazzleglass in Steppin' out, Lawrence and Lyssa's gift

Su Lin's and Lawrence gifts both came as a surprise. I did not expected it. When Su Lin passed me the gift I saw a MAC plastic bag, wheeee! A long tube? What could it be? Then I saw the words, Dazzleglass, something I wanted but never got. A month or so ago, I was choosing between the MAC Blush of Youth or a Dazzleglass and in the end I choosed the blusher. So to finally get a Dazzleglass made me really happy. And it was the colour I was eye-ing for.

In the end, I had a great, memorable Birthday thanks to everyone. From the gifts to the wishes, I can't tell anyone how incredibly happy I was. 25th birthday really left a BIG BIG mark in my heart, I sincerely thank everyone for all their efforts, taking time to wish, accompany and making this so so memorable!

Also, a very super BIG thank you for all your wishes, it really meant alot to me as well as this is probably the first time so many people wished me. LOL! Thank you from the bottom of my beart *muaks*

More updates

I'll do update on the pressies I got and how some people made my 25th birthday the most memorable one I ever had. :D

R.I.P Alan

"There is no life without death and no death without life"

I'm sorry for the lack of updates this past week but I was just totally not in the mood to even turn on my computer. Received the news that my former boss died of a heart attack on July 9 at the age of 49 years old. Just a day before my birthday. And he was one man, whom I really respect and cared about.

He was a personal friend of my dad and after I graduated from Han Chiang College, I worked for him in his printing press factory.

I've not seen since Alan since Chinese New Year when I visited the factory. Alan's father kept asking me to go back and work for them. I refused them so many times. I still remember the day I left, I wrote a letter to Alan. I didn't bitch about the bitches at work who was giving me trouble like I wanted to cause I didn't wanted to stress him out but I thanked him for everything and wrote that no matter what, I'll remember him and that he was a great person. I meant every word I wrote that day.

I was in shock when I heard the news, it really upset me a great deal especially since I'm very fond of him. He was the type of boss that anyone would love to work for. There was a time, while I was still working for him and he saw me leaving for lunch late (it was about 1.30pm and lunch time was 1pm) and he happily told me that since I was leaving late, it was okay for me to come back later. I didn't of course, other incidents were like when he saw me going out for lunch with my senior and then proceed to take out his wallet and gave us RM50 for lunch. This was him. He's extremely generous with his staffs to a fault.

I can't believe he was really gone, I attended his funeral on Saturday and it was drizzling non stop. I didn't stay to watch his casket get loaded into the car and get driven off to the cemetry plot. I didn't want to. It's all so surreal to me.

In the end, everyone must die, how and when we will all die is the only difference. The only way we'll live forever is by staying in someone's heart and memories. And Alan will forever stay in mine.

Its kinda hard with you not around
Know you in heaven smilin down
Watchin us while we pray for you
Every day we pray for you
Til the day we meet again
In my heart is where Ill keep you friend

- Puff Daddy, I'll be missing you

Trip down to KL + Daiso + Missing JeanJean

But don't tell my butt, my achy breaky butt
I just don't think it'd understand
And if you tell my butt, my achy breaky butt
It might blow up and fart you away
Ooo

Achy Breaky Heart- Billy Ray Cyrus

Okay okay, the original lyrics didn't go that way but after hours in the car, all I can do is sing that song. Oh my poor aching butt~ *rubs*

On Thursday night, I hopped into a car and drove off into the sunset when the cowboys ride, the wind in my hair and no worries in muh mind. Okay enough nonsense, I went to Kuala Lumpur for a short trip just for the heck of it, I was bored and getting lazier by the minute so I decide it was time to do something and since my friend, Darren was going down, I followed him. Also the Mega Sales was on, woo-hooo! Sales! But being jobless, I refrained and refrained from buying much but I did ended up buying a few stuffs I shouldn't have. But money has been passed and the items are in my hands so no regrets allowed. That's what I kept telling myself anyway.

That's not all, It's so freaking incredible, for one and a half years I've been trying and trying to put on weight without success and give me 4 days after I resigned, I put all the weight right back as if I never even lost any. Stress is... incredible.

Also, just the day before the trip, I 'accidently' signed up for power yoga. And this is on my 2nd trip to the gym. Big mistake, I ended up with pain all over my poor body. Misread the power yoga and intro to yoga. How I messed that up is beyond me, I think I started jumping around happily at the word yoga and forgot to read the rest. Stupid me. The instructor commented that I had guts when I first entered. And I stood there stunned, yea, found out why later. For power yoga, stamina, strength and flexibility is needed, the instructor said that I had flexibility but lack strength. Tell me something I don't know, by the end of it all, my hands and feet felt like it was made from jelly and was wobbling about.

*Ahem* Anyway, the small small things I bought for my short trip;

My melody! Watashiwa aishiteruuuuu~
*screams like a psychotic fan girl who just saw the Jonas brothers* eww..

This is actually one of my regretted buys, I've always been a big fan of both Hello Kitty and My Melody since young but could never really afford anything from them but this time, I went a little koo-koo and forked out a good RM90 for a freaking pillow. My only happiness, it's an original sanrio. Yes, people, lots of fakes out there, good thing it's really easy to tell. It's so soft and cushiony and.. and..so pink, AHH~ *slaps self* You shall now be my sleeping companion. Hmm, I wonder if it's washable, it didn't come with any washing instructions.

Oh and the leapard print fleece blanket is a gift, LOL! Thanks Uncle P. but you can have it back if I start dreaming of you while covering my ass with it.

The main purpose of going down to KL was actually because Darren wanted to attend the ARCHIDEX'09 convention held in KLCC and also for shopping purposes and I wanted to be a busybody. The whole entire two days was spent in shopping malls with Darren. I've always thought I was good, but I was wrong. Darren could out shop me any day. I'm so sad. My blisters are the size of Africa and I still had to walk. The worst part was that I was damn broke and all I could do was follow him around like some golf caddie. BOOOOO!

So while walking around in the KLCC convention halls looking at roofs, chemical paints, paints, wooden panels etc, a light bulb flashed above my head. Architect? JeanJean?!?!!! DAISO!!! Whee~

Unknown to them I'm actually just a driver to the CEO!
Nyahahahahah! Kidding =_=

I suddenly remembered that maybe, just maybe JeanJean might just be around. Of course I didn't have her number so I called Elyn and Elisa. Neither one had her number but at least Elyn knew where Daiso was. I ended up walking around getting knock over because I was busy trying to spot any tall girl with long hair that might resemble JeanJean, no such luck! I'm quite disappointed that I wasn't able to meet her but I do believe there will be other chances. I promise myself to give her a big bear hug when I see her.

*I ran over to JeanJean's blog and saw that she DID attended the convention and there was even a post dedicated to ME! Imagine that! She got the exact details down to what I was wearing that day and I'm so upset that despite peeling my eye open throughout the entire convention, she ended up seeing me in Raoul and me having given up by then now, missed her. Please excuse me while I go scream.

A biggie thanks to both E and Elyn for helping me trying to find Jean's number! I really appreciate it! Thank you!

On our final day in Kuala Lumpur, we went over to The Curve since Elyn said Daiso was there. Walked around aimlessly looking for it when there was a BIG Daiso sign just above our head. Two blur 'sotongs' without coffee in the morning.

Ta-daaaa, I didn't buy much at all, so pleased with myself! The fake falsies are from an online shop and Etude House Peach Tea cleanser is from Etude House

So why four bottles of sponge cleaner? Two is for Elyn, I hope I got her the correct ones *gulp* I don't have that much sponge or brush to wash anyway. One is for myself and the other is for spare, incase E might suddenly decides she wants one too.

Besides that bought two bars of milk soaps. I like Milk + I like soaps. I hope it works or do whatever it's suppose to do which I actually have no idea what it's suppose to do... :D

I remember reading JeanJean raving about the Charcoal something. It's been a while so I didn't remember what it was but *censored* I just re-read Jean's blog and I mistaken the ravings of the Charcoal Cleansing Cream and the rants of the Charcoal Mask. I mixed them up! ARGHH! I didn't think I'll be going into Daiso so I didn't not do my proper homework, I'm so sad now. But it's only RM5, I will try it! I have no plans nor events other than my birthday in 4 days time so I will use my face as an experiment for this mask!

Left to right: Eyelash glue for only RM5! Uhhh...I messed up the cap

I saw this and wanted it pretty badly but when I finally came home and tested it, it's a little disappointing. It comes off more grayish than black and it's really not sticky at all. The only good thing is that it's easy to remove, oh wait, is that good? And it dried in about 3 seconds which might be a little problem for me since I have butter fingers and it takes me longer than 3 seconds to put on my lashes. So far it's not looking all too good but I'll comfirm it tomorrow when I try it with my new falsies and will do another report then.

I didn't wanted to go in to Ikea despite the fact that I absolutely love that place because it made me feel really awful that I don't own a house of my own yet. I'm too poor. I initially decided that perhaps I could be able to fork out some money for a low cost flat by either BSG or E&O. So we'll see about it. We headed over to Ikano instead since I've never been there and after browsing around and visiting the pet shop, we were heading back to the car park when something caught my eyes. It was instant love.

Magic box that contains my happiness

I've seen them selling this in Singapore and because of the currency conversion, I wasn't able to afford them but finally I saw them in KL and got so excited. It was selling for RM170 per box and although, I spent an hour debating on whether to get it or not, in the end, I did. I really do love it alot. It's so cute!

What could be inside?

My happiness of course!

Would you take a look at that! Japanese snacks made from wood. Not edible but extremely wonderful to look at. It's made in China though but the box is writen in Japanese. It's not exactly worth paying RM170 for a few pieces of wooden blocks but for me, whether it was worth it or not, I loved them so much that I wanted to own it. I wanted the box to store my make up and I wanted the food stuffs to stare at. I didn't spend much on anything on my entire trip down so to me, this was something I really wanted to get.

The inside of the wooden bloacks and what makes them stick together

Other than these, I got a purple top from MNG since the sale was really good and some bra from La Senza. Not my style to show people what clothes I buy or what inner garment I wear so no piccies. I only buy clothes on sale anyway, I'm such a darn cheapskate :D

P.s: Kinda lost my mood to write more after realizing that because I didn't have internet connection, I missed seeing JeanJean and all... *sigh*

Oh well, there will be other chances I guess and I'm glad that I'm seeing Elyn again this Thursday. Whee~
