Strawberry Fields turned Strawberry Fungi NOTD

I had the vision of supple, fat, juicy strawberries on my nails this week and what turned out was tiny, pathetic, strawberries overload that made my nails look like it caught measles.

2 or the maximum of 3 strawberries on each nail would have been fantastic, but due to my own stupidity where 'more is always better' I ended up with the strawberries that is available in Malaysia. Small, sad, and sour.

It looks better half done rather than done. Eech!

Now I'm just too creeped out to even look at my own nails but I keep them on because I want my other colleages to have a laugh at it before removing it. The more i look at them the more it also reminds me of some Japanese Anime where they have fanservices of girls flashing their strawberry panties. NOOOOOOOOO!!!

On happier note, after months and months of saving my miserable pay as a trainee, I decided to splurge it on something special. It's going to be my 6th month anniversary with JH this month end and I decided to get something nice for myself. A necklace, not just any necklace but a EKI LOVE collection necklace. Fingers cross that it arrives safely. Thankfully, I already know what to get JH, he's so easy to please :D

During one of those Watson's sale, I managed to grab the much reviewed Maybelline Magma. It comes on a yellow tube very similiar to the Collosal. I remember seeing it when I was in the airport in Singapore but I didn't read any reviews on it yet - then. Seeing so many reviews comparing the Magma and Collosal with Magma getting better reviews I decided to try it out. There are reviews of it being a total *toot* to wash off though, it came as no surprise since Maybelline mascaras since the Turbo boost (except Collosal) has been a major *toot* to wash off. As in a super major *toot*. I remember one of my earlier HG mascara was the Turbo boost and how I loath removing it since I can never seem to get everything off. It always ends up under my eyes and I have the raccoon look on. Oh and it smudges like *toot* too.

But we shall see how this one goes. My bet is on the Collosal but it's biased since I have not tried the Magma yet. Then again, I hate opening new mascaras when my old one is not yet finished. Hate the idea of bacteria and air getting in. By the way, I got it for RM25.

A long long time ago, I fell in love with a Clinique lipstick in Sweet Honey. It was pale peachy beige that really flatters my skin colour, unfortunately, it got discontinued a few years later when Clinique decided to revamp. Gone were their green little casing replaced with solid looking silver tubes which 'silver' coating comes off after a month of two leaving you with ugly looking peeled silver casing and a tube full of lipstick. I went in search of my HG but lo and behold, my Sweet Honey was replaced with a darker shade of pink described as 'Classic Rose' on their website.

After years and years and years (roughly about 8 years plus to be exact) I finally found a similiar shade of lipstick that I fell in love with years ago in MAC Shy Girl. My already colourless lips looks god damned awful in nude lipstick and to make matter worst, I love nude lipsticks. Even lipsticks with a slight hint of pale pink doesn't suit me. Instead, I get random people asking me if I was feeling ill. Since I need a slight hint of colour, peach looks best on me besides pinkish red lipstick.

Left to right: Without gloss; With Etude House lip plumping lip gloss

MAC Shy Girl is described as creamy neutral coral beige (Cremesheen) but to me, it can be a little on the frosty side that I hate but when pair with a lipgloss, the frostiness is not that easily seen and it looks really nice. Finally, my quest ended. Thanks JH.
