Canmake Clear Mascara + Etude House misc. reviews

If you read my post recently, you would have noticed that I recently bought a new mascara base from Etude House. One that I did not like very much. I'm still clueless about what the heck am I suppose to do with it..

After discussing it with Elisa, we came to a conclusion that it was good only if you already have thick lashes as the base separates the hairs well and lengthens them. But if you have little lashes like me, it ends up making the little lashes I have stick together and have a weird spider leg effect except that it's too heavy for my fine eye lashes and thus brings it down. It came to a point when my lashes actually looked better and could even hold the curl without the base.

I was really disappointed with it and so I started searching for a new mascara base. I remember E mentioning something about Canmake having clear mascara and that maybe I should try that one instead. So hell, why not, headed over to Perangin Mall and saw there they had one in clear and in blue, I can't read a word of Japanese so I stood there wondering what was the difference, decided to head home and check the net and read some reviews about it just as well since the base cost about RM26.90 and my budget is actually pretty small and I don't want to buy something I'll regret - again!

I got the transparent blue instead since I saw some reviews that mentioned it was slightly better

The reviews I found was pretty confusing reviews on it ranging from it does nothing, weighting lashes down to it holding curls well and so forth. I searched and searched around for other reviews but surprisingly there hardly any. Just a few here and there. So this time, it's really up to your own gut feeling and cross your fingers that it will be okay for you.

The texture is slightly gel-ish (d'oh) and glue-ish (double d'oh), I know some complained that it was glue-ish but I rather it being glue-ish and sticks to my lashes than it being watery and runny. Smells of normal mascara kua. *sniff sniff*

Can't say much despite waking up early in the morning cause I was too damn excited to try it. This kind of things can make me excited nowadays, what a pathetic person I've become... *ahem* but anyway, I'll post up the reviews way later when I've tried it and know what the hell I'm saying, too early, brains don't work this early on a Sunday.

Etude House Planet Gold

Etude House Planet Gold nail polish - RM11.90. The nail colour I bought a couple of days ago when we met Elyn in Queensbay. It's so lovely, I'm so loving it, Only one coat is needed for the above effect. Dries fast and the colours is 'you get what you see on the bottle' gets two thumbs up from me.

As for the Etude House base coat - RM5.90 that I bought when me and E drove all the way to Etude House Sungai Petani, it sucks, don't bother buying. Go get yourself an Elianto - RM5 one or something. It's not worth the money. It stains my nails as much as when I don't use a base. Yuck! Now I got yellow nails thanks to it. Before this I was using OPI Russian Navy and I know OPI don't stain my nails that bad! ARGHH. *strangles bottle, throws it on the floor and stomps on it*

Etude House Precious Mineral BB cream on the left

When I first got this, I was really skeptic about it, "precious mineral?" HAH! So I headed over to see if anyone has reviewed about this, well a Musing of a Muse, then again, she's pretty much reviews almost everything in Etude House and loving most. The loving most part is the part that made me a little uncomfortable. So what the heck, swatched it on my hands for the photo and went 'EEww.. too fair, too chalky. Don't blend all that great.' Could a Musing of a Muse perhaps be wrong on this one?

Then decided to try it on my face a couple of days later for work, it turned out really niceee. I take back my doubt and my EEww, it gives a nice dewy sheen to the face making it more alive and the colour was just nice for me so that's a yay! (Uhh, did my hand tan that much?) The coverage was not too bad, not as good as the Etude House Magic Balm (Round purple casing - love it!) then again the Magic Balm covers everything and is pretty thick, but the coverage for the Precious Mineral was way better than Skin Food's Aloe Vera BB Cream and it doesn't go all oily on me by midday like the SF one. The more I use the Precious Mineral the more I'm wanting to get it and the more I HATE Skin Food's.

This is how it some what looked, I've already put on very light concealer + loose powder but this is somewhat over 5 hours after make up application.

All pictures looks better with a smile on the face but I found it a silly for me to grin at myself by myself on the camera, it's just me, so I end up with the "you owe me a million bucks, when are you going to pay back" kinda face. Forgive me

Don't compare my Lip Filler's gone wrong picture to this please. I had a bad break up/out (the face, THE FACE kind, not a relationship kind) then and thankfully almost everything has cleared up. So don't go around thinking that my make up is super thick and that's how everything got covered up :P Although, I must admit that I'm bloody tempted to just spray paint my face with Dulux one day. Muahahahaha! Instant flawless skin, as smooth as your walls.

*drools*
*slaps self*

Pinky Doodle-Doo AKA Celeste also known as my big sister's B-day was on the 10th of May and being clueless me, I got her the Etude House Smokey Eyes Pallette instead. Thankfully, she liked it, wheee! I was actually eyeing the other colour pallette for quite some time myself but never got it for myself since I don't really think I needed it (that's what I keep telling myself anyway) XD

Will sneak into her room ninja style one day and try it on myself one day just to make sure colour pay off is good or whatever funky excuse I'll come up with later.

I am glad that the BB cream turn out to be such a delight for you :D
