NOTD: Tuxedo nails; RMK liquid foundation

Saw this a while back and I really liked the design, it seems fun and easy to do. I copied the design down into my little notebook and never forgot about it since. I wanted to do something for Halloween but orange with black polka dots later, I realised that seeing that many polka dots on my nails disturbs me.

So Tuxedos it is. I meant to do the ring finger differently - a lady in a red dress with a string of pearls on her "neck" but I forgot so ah the heck with it. It wasn't very neat because the black is actually GW Paints and not nail polish. It has a matte finish so I had to coat it with top coat to make it shiny and nice.

Items used:

GW paint in Chaos Black
GW paint in Blood Red
Elianto top coat
Elianto white nail polish
Stage base coat

Just to rant, I hate Stage base coat cause it stinks to high heavens. I hate Elianto's pink coloured base coat (the expensive one) cause it takes a bloody long time to dry and even after a while and if and when it does dry it remains sticky.

Thinking of getting a better top and base coat without having to go rob the bank. /sigh

E called me on her way to KL to ask if I still wanted the RMK liquid foundation. I happily said yes. Thankfully I just gotten my pay check or it would have been a no.

RM155?! What happen to the good old days when the most expensive foundation you ever heard of only cost RM120? Long gone!

I wasn't sure of my colour so I told E I wanted the lightest yellow base shade. I remember checking the internet and it was 101 or something. When I got it, I got a heart attack. It wasn't a shade I was expecting. It looked quite dark and yellow. Thankfully, the colour blended in nicely. Ahhh, now my face and neck is the same colour. For once anyway :P

The texture is very light and gel/water base type and blends easily. While others ended up with dewy looking skin, I ended up with a matte face. Oh well, not a big issue and it can be considered good in some ways.

Definitely need a base to go with this and the colour doesn't change to a different funky shade. Niceeeee.

Coverage is buildable. So far so good. Will post up pictures later

I have the RMK liquid foundation in 102. It goes on semi-matte and it turns dewy on me after a few hours. I like the light texture of it. I can't wait to see your photots.

Prices just keep going up! I have yet to make the jump to a high-end foundation eventhough have been tempted by quite a few. Just cannot seem to justify the price yet. Do show off some swatches yeah? Heard good things about it.

Cute nails! I've heard good things about RMK. The price sucks but it sounds like it's working nicely with your skin. =D

(I think part of me bailing the fish spa was seeing them rush at me too. Kinda freaky. :X)
