RMK!

A while back, our company decided to do a corporate video with a local celebrity as our ambassador. I was picked to be the [ke-ler-fare] in other words - an extra. I was her so called friend who accompanies her everywhere in the video. A side kick, a shadow, a busy body etc.

So anyway, the star has absolutely gorgeous skin. So dewy and smooth that it makes you want to reach your hands out and...and...feel it! Rub your sweaty hands on her porcelain skin and see if it's real or something.

I happen to ask her which foundation she was using and she mentioned it was from the brand RMK. It was then the choir of angels flew out and sang, "Hallelujah". I knew I MUST have that foundation too.

Unfortunately, it cost a bomb and even worst, we do not have a RMK counter in Penang. This sucks chicken ass.

That leaves me no choice but to search online. No such luck. Chance upon someone selling a brand new 15ml RMK make up base for cheap so I decided to buy it and try instead. The person (who will not be named because I don't like sellers who gives ONE word replies) also has a pre-loved blusher for sale for really cheap too.

When I tried to swatch it on my hands the colours hardly shows but when I used my brush, swirl it around and applied. I looked like someone drew on me with an orange highlighter pen. It was really bright orange.

I had to tone it down with lots of buffing and powder. After that, it looks really natural. Yay!

A few days later, I read Yana's blog on her #1 favourite foundation - The Laura Mercier Silk Cream Foundation which is also Make Up Geek's Top 10 Foundations.

One word. ARGHH!

Two very expensive foundations. Decisions decisions...

hi gorgeous!! u look awesome!and i think ur skin is looking fab!

i have an idea.i think since u r thinking of which foundation to choose,i'd like to send u a sample of my Laura Mercier foundation in a small jar.i hope my colour Medium beige wont look too dark on ur fair skin..hihih..just want u to get the idea how great the coverage is even with the smallest amout.im really LOVING the foundation as it makes my skin looks flawless but at the same time i dont look like im wearing heavy foundation at all.my skin still looks and feel like my skin.

i would recoomend u to use a face primer.im using MAC prep and prime primer and my foundation didn't melt or slip at all.i set it with powder..

i hope it can cheer u up darling.. if u like it u can purchase the full size one.but if u dont u can try the RMK one..i will text u when i have posted it to u ok..

LOVE,
xoxo

Hee hee...congrats on your brush with fame! :) I've heard good things about RMK's foundation but like you, it's not sold here. Good thing you were able to get it online. I love the soft glow and finish these two products give you! I haven't tried LM's Silk Cream foundie yet but I do love her tinted moisturizer. I know...decisions, decisions... ;)

(Aw, I thought you bought the long handle Le Pliage.)

is the RMK foundation, the liquid one? I've tried both cream and liquid foundations. I have to say that they are my favourite by far! :D

I never tried LM punya but I do like the RMK liquid foundie. But it's only medium coverage, but buildable. One thing I like about it is because it's lightweight too. Maybe you can get a sample to try first? mine sudah habis long time ago and also I got it in KL too.. our poor pg mana ada mia.. keke.. LM sounds interesting too.. maybe can get sample from our Parkson LM counter see see? =)
