Review: Maybelline's Angelfit

Flawless skin, every girl's dream. I don't have flawless skin but I have foundations to help, or in some cases 'somewhat' help.

I regret staying in Malaysia since a lot of good products never makes it here. I'm dying for the Loreal Voluminous or the Maybelline Colossal mascara as these got some of the best reviews I've seen but it never came and here we are stuck with lousy raccoon panda looking smearing mascaras.

It's been a while since I bought this foundation. I got it during the Metrojaya Warehouse sale sometime ago at a great price since I'm guessing it's nearing it's expiry date. But if you know me well enough, expiry date is just a suggestion. I don't recommend anyone following my footsteps but I'm just a el chepo, so don't mind me plus the foundation still looks okay and the oil + whatever has not separated yet so, I'm also guessing it should be fine. No breakouts yet. Kindly note the YET.

It took me so long to finally review this because although I bought it, it's not really something I needed. I'm ashamed to admit. I got lots of other foundations at hand not to mention I've already switched to BB creams but it was the price that attracted me. Seeing how it was sitting there looking all lonely and forlorn, I took pity and started using it.

For one, I'm also not a fan of any Maybelline products. Used it when I was 15 and hated it since. The foundations always turns out too oily for me, the mascara smudges on me and the nail colour turns my nails yellow and the lipstick never last. BAH! But all this complain is just me, Maybelline has indeed improved since then and there are some good products out.

I had no idea (I'm so blissfully ignorant sometimes) that Angelfit was released only in Asia so I'm guessing there's be some readers who will go, "Maybelline Angel..whaaa??" But anyway, during the warehouse sale, there was only two shades left, True Ivory and 'Oops, I forgot the name' I remember it starts with a B, but errr...quickly moving on, I chosed the above colour only because my then boyfriend helped me. There was no mirrors and the colour pumped out looking scary but thankfully it blends well into my skin.

Edit: BUFF, the other colour was Buff!!

Left to right: A little pump; blend blend blend and ta-daaaaah
I got scary looking veins, they are blue-purple colour and I can see them so well, UGH
They look like the Malaysian roads - confusing!

It's not too expensive for a foundation but to me, it's not the greatest but for like what RM36 (original price, I got mine at RM12?) it's okay.

In the smallest nutshell ever know; It's extremely easy to blend and coverage is sheer - medium. It has a semi matte finish on me. Lasting power is average. The texture is a little running (watery?) to me.

I need about two coats to even out my skintone and I still need a concealer to conceal everything as the foundation is too sheer to cover blemishes or dark eye circles.

This is after I piled on the blusher and highlighter

Elisa mentioned something I came to realize as well. It's because I am so pale that besides needing blusher, I am in need of highlighter to make my face radiant. Although the foundation mentions that it contains 'Revolutionary Pink Pearls technology' to highlights skin for a natural and luminous glow, it didn't give me that kind of effect at all. Perhaps to others that already has glowy skin this is fine for them but for someone who will look flat and resemble a corpse without highlighter or help from artificial glow (i.e: me) this is not enough. It's semi matte to me.

Item: AngelFit Liquid Foundation
Price: RM35.90 (intro price) Bought for RM12 (warehouse price)
Where: Watsons or any local drugstore
Description: Formulated with moisture and care ingredients รข€“ chamomile essence, Royal Jelly & Vitamin E, contains SPF 17/PA ++, fragrance- free, hypoallergenic, does not clog pores and is dermatologist-tested.

Pros : Cheap, easy to blend, coverage is build able
Cons: A little running, limited shades, staying power is below average to average.

Will I repurchase: No, for that price, I don't mind paying a little more for something better. But also because I like BB creams better. :P

NOTD

Elianto's latest nail colours, the big glitters are from Anna Sui ( I tested it out at the counter) Don't mind the nails, they've started to chip after a week since I didn't paint on any base or top coat. The colours this time is really nice, glittery and not too expensive at RM18 for two.

I've been too lazy to do my nails lately, it's really about time *smacks self*

I never really liked Maybelline's product -_-; Even when I used the sample for this foundation, it dried my skin out.. And I can't seem to find a good match for my skin.
Anyway, perhaps you could try to use BB cream as a base to make the foundation looks more luminous? :)
Yes, boo to the local Maybelline! How come we don't get all the good stuffs??? :P

I'm not a big fan of Maybelline's products either. And it doesn't matter what type of foundation I use from this brand...it's always sheer and staying power is like below average! I bought the Dream matte mousse and it worked quite well in the beginning, but during the day it completely fades away even with a finishing powder! And I'm always tricked into buying them or testing them out...*Damn those pretty commercials!!*....-_-''...I'm too naive sometimes, cause I know the models are photoshopped and made even more radiant with lots of other products...
