Went to watch G.I Joe: Rise of Cobra last Wednesday with the boys from The Clubhouse. I went there not expecting anything and not knowing anything. Didn't read the reviews, didn't watch the trailer and know nuts about it other than remembering the old G.I Joe cartoons back in the what? 80's?
The show turned out okay I guess, the guys says it's better than Transformers which I probably agree. Transformers has more laughs but G.I Joe at least kept me interested till the end rather than squirming in my seat wondering how much longer I can hold my pee in.
But Transformers being Transformers and G.I.Joe being G.I. Joe, I would have to say that both had lots and lots of super effects and the fact that the good guys always wins. No matter what. It'll be really nice if only it happens in real life too.
One thing that kept me interested in the movie was one person, no it wasn't Channing Tatum but Lee Byung-hun otherwise known as Byung-hun Lee. AHH! Gorgeous! Oh so delicious looking. He has the face of the perfect villian. *screams like an idiot*
Other pictures of him doesn't give me any reaction but as Storm Shadow, he leaves me with weak knees. LMAO! I love watching him in G.I Joe, he's so bloody cool. In real life however, he's pretty old, he's 39 already. But hey a crush's a crush, despite his age if I did ever see him in real life, I might just scream like a little girl and hop around him. Higher percentage of me never getting to see the real him so, I know I won't be doing all that. :P
I did a quick search on him and found that he's able to speak in Korean, French, English and Mandarin. He leaves me ashamed. I'm a Chinese that's unable to speak Chinese or even write my own name. Even Uncle P. laughs and makes fun at me for this which is why I'm interested in taking up a Mandarin course as soon as I find one.
SPOILERS
Moving back to G.I Joe. There was a few things that left me a little confused. So urm, if you have lots of body muscles does that mean we don't bleed as much?
I remember the fight screen with Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow and the delicious looking Storm Shadow was getting sliced like an apple and the incredible thing was there was long cuts to show the cuts with little or no blood and I remember thinking, "Wow".
So now I need to get more muscles and very soon I can control when and where I'll have my period! So cool! So NOT cool to have blood anywhere else besides the sanitary pad or tampons. AHAHAHA!
Also the fight screen between little Snake Eyes and little Storm Shadows got me worried. Kids these days are so violent. Smashing almost everything in sight and all. Why when I was their age, all I did was watch cartoons and play Barbie. Okay, so I didn't grew up in a temple or studied combat but still...
I didn't particulally liked the storyline for the Baroness. Good turned bad turned good. Cliche. I liked Scarlett better. Beautiful and cool but useless. Yes, so we learn that she can kick ass and she's a genius but through out the film, she never really contributed much to it other than chasing and then crashing her bike in Paris. G.I Joe and Scarlett fans would probably beg to differ and I'm not in the mood to argue.
Also, why is it that easy to penetrate McCullen's underwater base? You would get the impression that the man who builts weapons and bunkers for living would probably have some super cool defence system in his very own base but noooooo, bet he was on budget and decided to just hire lots and lots of not very bright soldiers to guard him.
Of course, his base is at a secret location and it IS underwater but here he is waging war with not ordinary stupid people but with the G.I. Joe, should he considering hiring smarter soldiers and beef up the security? What's the use of the fancy get up if it does no shit? Put on the tin man costume and it'll probably give you more protection.
Also, as the main character was escaping from the base while chasing Destro and Rex as everything else get destroyed and falling down like dandruff, the way they manage to avoid everything is ... unbelievable. Like seriously.
*sigh*
I complain too much. But this is after all purely my own thoughts. I don't know head nor tail of the whole G.I Joe stuffs so you can count on this as my personal 2 cents.
Oh Oh, got this from the Akemi bedsheets leaflet;
Tips to remove dried blood stains on fabrics XD~
Sponge fresh blood with cold water mixed with salt to remove as much stain as possible. Follow with usual washing procedures. Baking soda can also be used by mixing water to make a paste and apply on stain. Let stand for a while and then use a brush, scrub stain. Rinse.

I just watched the movie last night and I do agree that the movie is better than Transformers 2, which is a huge letdown for me. At least in this movie, there are more futuristic technologies than Transformers 2.
Haha.. It's not you ,who has all the complaints, dear. I too, feel that some of the plots were too gimmicky and just for the sake of lengthening the movie duration.
Sienna Miller looks kind of old in the movie. I think I prefer Scarlett over her anytime. Haha..
Haven't watch the movie yet, but then again... I haven't watch transformers 2 either... I'm so behind!
I think they don't make really good movies nowadays anyway...
