It's my birthday and I'll argue if I want to! NOTW; red black frenchie, floral pattern, Dolly Wink liquid eyeliner

It's been a while since my last post. My birthday came and went and everything's been quiet. A little too quiet.

Yes, I'm officially in my 'late' twenties now. No longer 'early' or 'mid'. It's strange knowing that after this, the years are gonna roll by and before I know it I would have hit 30. I've always wondered where I'll be and what I will be doing when I turn 30. Now, it's just a couple of years away and I'm still no where.

A day before my birthday was the Clubhouse's annual Drunk Fest: Tequila Night. Was not planning to drink but spent the night and morning hugging toilet bowls, wash basins, plastic bags and waste paper basket. What a way to start.

Me and Tequila are not friends. Never were, never will be. Period

Later the evening, I treated my family to our favourite japanese restaurant: Isaribi Tei.

My promise to myself this year was to look pretty for my birthday unlike my previous birthday which had me looking all tired and haggard. I dressed up, looked nice, smell nice, etc and ... argued with the boss of the restaurant /facepalm

Isaribi Tei is as well known for the affordable and nice japanese cuisine as it is for the extremely rude boss. We never had a problem till that night. It left me a little pissed and I guess me and JH's weekly meal there instead will be a monthly thing instead.

JH gave me a choice between a bag, a laptop or a watch. I picked a watch.

Liquid Eyeliner

I guess you know when to retire your liquid eyeliner when the consistency of the eyeliner becomes diluted and uneven. Behold.

When I first got this, I loved it to bits. It started off so promising - dark and beautiful. Read here. And now, it gone and died-ed on me. *sniff sniff*

Luckily about 4 months ago, I purchased the Dolly Wink black eyeliner from Sasa. There was raves about how good and fantastic they were so out of curiosity I got them. I'm happy to say I have no regrets at all. I do wonder if it'll turn gray and diluted on me later tho.

No problem washing this off since I use oil cleansers.

The liner is easy to use and can be used to draw both thick and think lines without problems. The only thing that I would like to point out is that it strangely smudges on me despite me using UDPP as base. I don't expect anyone else to have this problem since it's more of a mono lid problem. *shrugs*

In life, I hardly, close to never experience creasing problem but I smudge all the *toot toot toot bleeeep* time.

I really liked how the gray pigment (eyeshadow) in this look. Believe it or not, I gotten the pigment roughly 3-4 years ago and this is the first time it worked. This time, I used UDPP as eye base. So what was I using before this?

Minus the falsies

The lady who sold me the pigments was really popular seller in a forum I frequent and besides pigments, she also sells eye base which she claimed made the pigments waterproof. I happily purchased the eye base. To cut things really short. We later found out the eye base was actually Vaseline from Watsons. One reason why my pigments didn't stay on my lids, colours came out horrible, muddy and it does the David Copperfield ie: Disappears. I shelf the pigments till now.

For my birthday I painted the usual OPI Off with her Red and once it started chipping, I used black to do a sort of frenchie.

Yuck, the red at the base looks awful after a week

Then I came across Tiffany-Kim's blog and saw this:

Fell in love with it and was so eager to try it. I have a strange love for floral patterns. Bags, clothes, rose scented perfumes etc. I'm quite sure I probably remind some of you of your grandma T.T *sniffs*

Nope, didn't turn out so well. Re-did this as the stripes I made looked awful! My light green has dried up and I ended using the Maybeline Lickety Split for the leaves.

Of course, knowing my luck, I accidentally knocked over the bottle and it fell on my favourite pajamas, giving me a suspicious looking GREEN period-like stain.

Angry Birds

My first ever angry bird. Made it for Jobie's belated birthday but Pinky Doodle Doo nabbed it. Sorry for the blurry pics, it's not easy taking a snap shot of something on your thumb.

Hate hate hate working with white. Just about anything can stain the white. ARGH!

Happy Halloween and Congrats Boonifer!

Halloween, my favourite time of the year. Candies, candies and more candies plus a chance to dress fancy!

GameForge decided to have a Halloween party cum first year anniversary a few days earlier and there was a costume contest as well, best dressed male and female walks away with RM50. Sure, it might not sound alot but to a poor person like me, it was enough to make my eyes sparkle. (In case you're wondering why I'm consistently broke; I'm still paying my iLasik surgery and my tickets to Hong Kong and I got 3 wedding dinners in October, November and December)

On the day itself and just a few hours to the party, I still haven't decided on what to wear. Out of idea, started whinning to JH and we started going thru any ideas at all. A marionette? (Didn't have any cute fluffy dresses) A nurse? (Wanted to borrow Elisa's costume but she was working) A ganguro? (Uhh.. in public with my face looking like that? No way, Jose) A witch? (Boring, no idea where my damned hat went) A maid? (Last year's costume)

If there's one thing I dislike about Penang is that there isn't any costume shops that we can rent outfits from or even a costume shop. ARGH! It's either you get creative or go Toys R Us and get those fluffy sparkly cutsey wings . Hell, if those fluffy sparkly cutsey wings that comes with a size 2 shoes and tiara can fit me, I'll buy it! Unfortunately for me, my feet is a good size 6 and the wings are for kids. I'll look like a hippopotamus with sparkly butterfly wings.

Out of ideas, I put on my last year's maid's costume, hoping to put a fresh twist to it, maybe a blond wig or something and black leggings. Yes, I'm not the most creative person around. Was a little depressed since I really wanted the money. Oops, did my greediness shined through..

Just for a laugh, I put on my 'cowboy' hat and JH commented how it actually fit the costume, so that was it, I became a weird gothic cowgirl or something.. *sigh*

Hmm, would a gun fit me better? or an axe? Now, to look for a victim [insert suspense background music]

These shots are all candid so obviously I'll look a little goofy in some. Wish I had a little warning in some but luckily no shots of me scratching my ass or digging my nose :D

Not that I was doing those..

JH decided to ignore me and played Warhammer 40k instead. Me on the other hand, spilled beer on model terrains, tried chopping up the models and finally decided to go pull off my lower eyelashes cause they were damned annoying.

End of party, round up friends to threaten GameGorge's GM into giving me the money. And he really hands them over. Yay! I.R.RM50 richer!

To be truthful, I only won cause I was the only idiot who dress up. Seriously. Last year there was a bunch of people dressing up and all but this year, the clubhouse guys were all busy getting drunk at a bachelor party that hardly anyone came. Sad.

I really felt like a big fat idiot. My original costume was actually underneath my shirt but since no one bothered, I didn't even remove my shirt.

Oh well, I'm a slightly richer idiot atleast. Hee heee!

Since the original idea was gothic Cowgirl whatever, I ended up doing the 'Tim Burton inspired look'. Smear whatever on lids, apply black, black, black. Line eyes, apply falsies and la dee da, we're done! I'm getting pretty good at this XD

Luckily I remembered to put on my contacts before we left. It's almost a month and I've only wore it once. Gotta make my money's worth.

Remember all the ends that we trim off from our eyelashes so it'll fit the length of our eyes? Well, I kept all the little extras and who could have though, they'll come in handy. I'm not rich enough to buy the DollyWink lower eyelashes that cost a bomb, so I'll just have to make do with whatever I have at hand.

The prize money went to my share of Boonifer's wedding dinner :P

..turn out to be a fat little boy. But anyway, we have a clue as to the mystery of the guy with the green wee wee. Time will either prove us right or wrong. And it will also be in time that the 'person' gets his ass bitten by karma. *crackles*

Happy New Year 2010

First off, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Hope everyone had fun during your New Year, mine was a little quiet but loved it anyway. Spent 31st with JH and my sis in E&O for Shen and Loretta's wedding. Congrats to the happy couple.

As the clock strike midnight and everyone busy congratulating and hugging one another, I spent mine in the arms of my knight at home. Okay his home but both our wish for our fledging relationship was strangely (Yes, strangely) to go with the flow. Not my idea but this is it.

Wasn't the usual, lets' work hard or hope for the best kinda thing, for the extremely realistic JH, it had to be go with the flow.

Not a bad resolution, I don't mind despite finding it darn weird.

I must admit that I wasn't looking my best. Oh well, it was a working day and despite the half day leave, was tired and all. Too many late nights. Serves me right!

Headed over to the CH a few minutes later since they were having a BBQ. A steak and beer later, we finally went home before 3am. Thinking back, it wasn't so bad :D

I was lucky to finish 2 chapters. Sheesh. 10 chapters? What was I thinking when I wrote that?

New year, new resolutions. Lets see what I even accomplished in last year's.
Out of the eight, I managed a grand total of three. Pathetic. I had 365 days and still. Oh well, at least I tried. A little by little then. Rome wasn't built in a day nor was Gurney Plaza. I've always envisioned myself living till I'm mid 70's so I keep reminding myself, I still got a long way to go and not sweat over the little stuffs.

Saw Shop N' Chomp's new year resolutions and it made me a little ashamed to even start mine. Her New Year Resolution was simple - Be happy. So I'm going to continue on with my list but add this to my list as well and if I manage to do just that, my list is in a way complete :D

Pink + Green, Red + Green EOTD, NOTD

Kinda decided that I no longer wanted to do the usual make up since I kinda suck at it, not to mention there is so many good make EOTD's out there. So, I decided I'll stick to the funny looking EOTDs. Uhh, if that even makes any sense.

So why Red and Green? Well this one I'll have to give credit to Su Mei of Mignon-kira for the idea. It all started on the Christmas Eve party when the whole bunch of girls sat around talking about make up and Su Mei mentioned that she did a Red EOTD. When asked who can probably pull off a eed eye colour, she pointed at me which lit a light bulb above my head. Uhh..

And thus began the stirring in the depths of my heart, the passionate fire burned [insert other dramatic crap] but anyway I saw her EOTD and liked it. It definitely inspired me to give red a go.

Problem faced:
I don't own a red eyeshadow and I didn't wanted to buy any. I'm broke and I knew it was a colour I was only going to use once or twice, not to mention I wasn't too sure if I could pull it off in the end.

But in the end, thanks to the 88 colour palatte, I ended up with very dark pink. It wasn't red but it's the closest I could find. Oh well..

Oh and why Green? Hey, if I wanted to use red, byself make it look Christmassy and add some green. [insert maniac laughter]

Red + Green EOTD

Was so nervous when I first did this, red? RED? Line green on the bottom, add lots of black on both top and bottom lids and apply falsies.

First few test shots. This was one look where I literally sat down and tried diffrent lip colour since I couldn't figure out what li colour goes with this. I tried pale, coral, then red finally giving up and going with pink.

Yes yes, I got a fungus growing out from the side of my head.

I don't think I wanna be doing too many EOTD till I can lose some weight. Mom pointed out to me that I've gotten real fat and it shows on my face. I really need to start exercising soon and cut down on my food intake *sigh* 5 kgs in like what? 4 months? Bloody hell.

First I was called anorexic, now I'm Ms Roly Poly. Great!

Also, right after the EOTD, Elisa gave me a call, told her I can't go out cause I got funny make up on and she'll laugh if she saw me. Elisa rushed right over. Arrived just as I was picking up my make up remover.

Her first words were, "...."
Then, ".........."
And then, "What were you thinking?"

*Sobs*

Uhh, note that you really shouldn't take any of my EOTD seriously, this is usually all done for a good laugh and just out of curiosity. I do not wear this out in public cause I think JH, Elisa and Kern might cancel the outing seeing me like this.

I started experimenting with colours I usually would avoid like plague. Pink being one of them. Pink = Puffy the Dragon. No, I was kidding but anyway, here goes..

Uhh.. why on earth this two colours? I really don't remember, not exactly my brightest moments.

Eyeliner is like muh magic wand, it makes everything pretty. Just wave it around left and right while trying not to poke your eye out or blind yourself and everything will be fine. Line top, line bottom and voila!

JH was watching me as I did this EOTD, his comment (not in the exact sentence), "A little more white and you'll look like the people from the Chinese Opera"

Truth is, I secretly love the chinese opera. Watched it every year in my grandma's village as a kid, didn't understand a word of course :P

It's now replaced with skimpy bikini wearing girls who can't sing to save their life while shaking their booties to the Vengaboys on amps big enough to rattle my house 1km away. Nice. NOT!

Trying out the lashes I bought from the night market. It's too err,, volumising for me, I look like I got awnings on my eyes. Jobe would have called them glasses cleaners, I just usually call them fans. I like sitting next to girls wearing lashes like this cause everytime they bat or flutter their eyes, I can almost feel the breeze from the lashes. Ahh~ What more can you ask for during hot spells?

Didn't wanted to post up the NOTDs since I broke my nail - in the middle AGAIN and cut everything short. Wasn't allowed to use bright colours at work so that really sucks but because Christmas was around the corner, I painted them red anyway and just hide my hands when I see the people from HR. Nyahahhaaa..

Looks awful, washed if right off after about a week. Ugh.

Merry Belated Christmas!!

My blog is half dead. Barely one a a half years old and already close to kicking the bucket. I sit here half wondering if there's anyone out there still reading my crap.

Not to mention, I've been one heck of a lousy friend. That I'll admit. I'm truly sorry for the lack of calls and sms-es of late. Then again, there's only a handful of people that I actually call to gossip with anyway.

Dear Elyn,
I'm fine here. Been extremely tired and feeling lazy. Had fever for close to two weeks and felt all shitty. I really hope to see you soon but our timing has been extremely off since I started working. I work on Sundays too so it's really a pain in the ass that I can't see you. I miss our precious moments together sitting down for coffee as you give me advises on life. I really miss that.

Pressies galoreeeee

Christmas eve was spent in the Clubhouse. It's a little sad to know that this will be the last Christmas at the Clubhouse before it's shifted to a new location. I'm hope that despite the move, everything else will remain the same. I suppose there's still GameForge left. Everyone's been meeting there anyway after getting hooked on Magic Cards.

Anyway instead of the usual Gift Exchange for Christmas, the guys in CH decided they want it to be 'Dirty Santa' style this year so be it. Tons of rules and tons of blur faces (including mine since I know jack shit what was dirty Santa all about) So anyway everyone's allowed to pick a present, open it, show it to everyone and the person after you gets to exchange the present with you if he/she decides that they don't like their gifts. Worst, you can't say no.

Pinky Doodle Doo ended up with Patrick the dog soft toy and JH ended up with an extremely cool looking tumbler thanks to Khim Sun. Khim Sun unfortunately, ended up with my pink Hello Kitty tupperware. GG to the poor guy.

JH gave me the box set perfume of his favourite female perfume. Thank Gawd, it's something that actually smells good and not something I had to nod my head saying, 'Oh it's lovely" while hold my breath in. Thankie Thankie!

Oh another tip, never fall asleep in the CH, embarrassing pictures of you will always turn up. I've gotten a couple of my own but nothing as spectular as Tat's 'temporary' tats. Then again, I don't think anyone got anything better than Tats. Lucky Dawg.
