MAC Studio Fix; Froggy NOTD

I didn't realize how long I have not updated. Too many things been going on in real life. Arguments, break up, regrets and such. Thankfully everything's finally stable again and I don't feel like jumping off Penang Bridge anytime soon.

Because my pay is so low, I'm consistently on a make up ban, it is really starting to get to me. There is so many things I would like to do; treating loved ones out for dinner, giving my parents more money every month, buying things that I like without breaking a sweat and all but that is just not possible with my current pay. It's depressing.

I work in a not-for-profit organization and thus my pay is what it is but when I broke down crying because I didn't have enough to eat middle of the month (my own fault tho, I went a little koo-koo and bought a few dresses after not buying for so long) I felt like I really needed to switch jobs a.s.a.p. I have an offer but fingers crossed.

To cheer me up, JH bought me the MAC Studio Fix that I have been eying since middle of last year. Whee! I am so so happy! Thank you dear!

The Reflects Pearl is super pretty in real life! So sparkly

Chris (Elyn's friend and the person I always buy from) even gave me a nice bag and some samples. The cleansing oil and two glitter from the Wonder Woman collection. I was over the moon!

I wanted the Studio Fix because I needed the coverage. I don't have flawless skin and lately I'm starting to break out again. I suspect it's because I was using my MUFE Camouflage concealer and ZA powder for a week. My skin isn't use to make up anymore after using BB cream for so long so I had to switch back to BB cream.

The powder is a nice touch after my BB cream and makes everything nice and matte.

JH even bought me the Canmake lower eyelash that I was looking at. Personally I wouldn't have gotten it despite how much I wanted it because it was just too pricy for me. Luckily there was a 15% off :D

Sparkly~

NOTD:

I ordered some 'blings' online a while ago and decided to play around with some. I did this on my ring finger and left the rest plain tho.

A couple of days ago, I saw a comment from Emvely who did a super cute Frog inspired nail art. Frog Nail for you? (Click on link to see the original version) That nail art inspired me so much that I wanted to give it a try.

I wanted a variety of other 'animals' on my nails besides the frog; A bunny, cat, hello kitty etc.
It turned out...messy. And horrible. And embarrassing. I asked JH if they looked like animals and he replied, ' They look like demons'.

I wasn't too sure if I ought to strangle him or what but after taking a picture of it, I cleaned everything off except the rabbit.

The second time around, at least the cat looks like a cat and not a "demon". It was less messier since I used JH's acrylic paints. I'm a convert. Never again will I use nail polish to do any nail arts. It's a total pain in the *toot*

Still not perfect but it was fun! Whee!

Biore Cleansing Oil - In cotton wipes; Deja Vu Lash Knockout mascara

I've been eying this for a while now, especially the cleansing oil but in the end, I always end up buying my usual ZA Cleansing Oil due to the fear of it being yucky, sticky and hard to wash off. About two years ago, Watson came out with it's very own in house brand cleansing oil. Cost quite a bit and I found out that I love it as much as I love eating our cafeteria food which I bloody hell avoid whenever I can. Everytime I think of our cafeteria food, I cringe and makes a face. Automatically.

The Watsons cleansing oil was oil all right, cooking oil would probably be easier to wash off than that. It left an oily residue that no amount of washing or scrubbing can get off. I'm serious. It adheres to your face like paper to glue. If anyone was actually bought that thing, please let me know, I would like to hear your thoughts on it. But anyway, I no longer see it selling in Watsons. It was in a yellow see thru bottle.

I ended up having the guts to buy the Biore one only because of two people, Bunny and ShuAddict.

Bunny (click here for her hilarious review) reminded me how much I loved cleansing wipes and how I absolutely hate lugging my make up remove about whenever I stay over at JH's house. Not to mention, it spilled on my bag the last trip!! *&^%$. The only reason I stopped buying wipes was because I couldn't find a good one, they promise you the stars and the moon only to find out that they remove nothing.

ShuAddict (click here) did a review on this and piped my curiosity and I decide, 'Ah what the heck, lets try it!' I went to so many Guardian to get the RM9.88 for two but I couldn't find them. I ended up getting them in Watsons for RM6 *sniff*

A small sealed packet inside the plastic packet. Seals nicely *mumbles*unlike a certain lousy brand that can't re-seal after you open them.. Will definitely be buying more of these when I go traveling (if I ever go anywhere) In fact I love them so much that I headed over to Guardian to get the bigger box. Sir Terrible Memory, being my gallant prince paid for them. Thankies love! It's so nice to have people help out during difficult times. I really do appreciate it!

How do I love/hate it? AHH, I LOVEEE IT! It does as it says and removes everything without the greasy and sticky feeling. Even the P.I.T.A Maybelline Magnum is washed off with minimum scrubbing. *hops around* No funky smell and absolutely no regrets. It's a little expensive though. RM6 for 10 wipes (RM0.60 each). The 48 wipes is a little cheaper at RM22 (RM0.46 each)

Pinky Doodle doo aka my sister, sponsored me next item. A DejaVu mascara - Lash Knockout which I never knew existed till she gave them to me. She couldn't decide if she needed a volumizing or lengthening mascara more and ended up buying this. The only thing I ever buy from Sasa is false eyelashes, even then its seldom. Pinky loves things from Sasa so I'm guessing she got this during her, "I am bored, I must go buy something" time. Lucky me! *grins*

Bad smudgy picture :D

I'm liking the old/normal DejaVu mascara better. The more you apply doesn't seem to work much. The above picture is after apply 2 coats of it. I definitely see the volumising effect but nothing else. Lengthening is almost zero. Then again, it didn't promise any lengthening effect. It's definitely easy to remove but then again, I used my usual oil cleanser so everything comes off one way or another. No messy residue left though.

One reason why I smudge so bad in the above picture is because I used the Victoria Secret Very Sexy Gel eyeliner duo. I had bad experience with it the first time about a year ago and tried to use it again and it's still as bad. Smudges terribly, not much lasting power, goes MIA in a few hours, turns grey etc.

Miss Eylure Falsies + Nail polish from Hell

On the 18, me and JH went to Gurney P today to watch Alice in Wonderland but there was no more tickets, disappointed, we bought the show for tomorrow and went browsing around.

*Edit: The movie was good I guess, knowing how crazily in love with Alice in Wonderland since young but the story is both a combi of the first and second book and the Red Queen and Queen of Hearts became the same person. I kept expecting Alice to be crowned as the new Red Queen but that didn't happen in the movie :P

But anyway since I was really disappointed with not being able to watch the movie that day, JH cheered me up by buying eye falsies. Yay!

I've always wondered how these kind of eyelashes would look on me, I've been constantly buying my falsies from the night market and The Face Shop and I've always bought the same old same old. I wanted to try something different so I got these.

They were surprisingly very natural on me. *D'oh* It was the kind of lashes I could wear to work without people noticing. The only down part is that they are pre-glued. It's good in a way and bad in some. Good cause I can wear them there and then without having any glue with me, bad cause after one use, it's really not sticky anymore. The extra strip of glue they came with is good as long as you don't mess them up by accidentally touching them and such.

I ended using my usual glue to glue them on after 2 uses.

Left to right: Not placed correctky; Ah much better

The eye lash that started everything. I've been eyeing this for the longest time but wasn't willing to fork out RM12.90 for a pair. Yeshu, I'm poor and stingy. While we were in Sasa in KL, Pinky Doodle Doo got these for me.

*I LUB YOU LONG LONG Pinky*

XD

The totally reminded me of the my ultimate favourite pair of falsies from Red Cherry *Thanks Elyn, I LUB you long long too* I've been trying to order Red Cherry lashes for over 2 months now but not having any luck. Just when I thought I got lucky, I found that the person was charging USD50 for postage alone. I nearly freaked and died. At USD50 I could have cleaned out the eyelashes corner in The Face Shop.

I was so disappointed then that I spend days mulling over the facts that I lived in a God forsaken place called Malaysia.. kidding. It's not that bad here just seriously in need of more cosmetic counters.

That aside, JH found them too dramatic but they were so soft and after my Red Cherry pair, this just became my 2nd favourite. Will be back to get more when I hit the lottery.

A while back I went for a RM12 somewhat of a pedicure and saw them using this brand of nail colour. I've never seen such a 'blinged' nail polish before. It was literally a disco ball filled with glitters. It turned my eyes all sparkly and how I drooled.

In the end I opted for an OPI red but I couldn't forget how beautifully 'blinged' the nail polish was so I searched high and low for it. While in KL, I found it! Bought it without a second though, painted my nails, enjoyed a few days of very super shiny 'blinged' nails and then I realized...

They were nail polish from HELL! Almost anyway. Washing them off was a super major pain in the *toot* Yes, from years of experience I knew glitters were a *toot* to wash off but this one takes the cake. I scrubbed and scrubbed. Took me a quarter bottle of nail polish remover, lots of cotton wool and cursing along the way.

I doubt I'll be using this for a long time to come, unless I paint my feet with them then go for a pedicure and wait for them to remove it *whistles innocently*
