Lacy NOTD; Blue EOTD

Lacy NOTD

Bought the lacy stickers a while back online. Wanted it in black but they were out of it so I ended up with this. It wasn't enough for all 10 fingers. BOO!

A pity this NOTD didn't even last me 2 days. The Stage cosmetics base/top coat is good as a base coat. It wasn't strong enough to hold the stickers down and ended up with the stickers peeling every time I scratch myself. I'll stick to good old Elianto top coat for now. It has never failed me so far. Get the RM5 one, the RM10 topcoat sucks chicken ass since it can't seem to dry.

RE: Straits Quay Flea Market

JH: There's a flea market in Straits Quay on Labour Day. Want to go?
Ash: Yay! You like flea, I like market. Let's go!

Browsed around and spotted a vintage 1970's costume jewellery pendant (I know my spelling can be a little 'off' but we studied British English and not American English)

For something kept for the past 40 years, it still looks so pretty so I drooled and JH forked over the cash. Funny he happily offered to pay but dragged me off from a counter selling Melliesh and Candy Doll cosmetics by the hair. HMPH!

Blue EOTD

I think age finally caught up to me. I've been using less and less make up. I'm now down to sunblock, Sweet scents mineral powder I bought from Sue 3 years ago(?), blusher and mascara to work. Extra minutes to snooze is always good in my book.

Authentic Arabic make up

The reason for this look was because my colleague Jen, asked me why I don't bring my make up all the way up to my brows ala Arabic make up. Uh, for one, I don't have perfect features like them to carry it off. I noted that some people are able to carry it off but unfortunately, I'm not one of them. I have a lot of space between eyes and brows; to bring it all the way up makes it too dramatic for me and if executed badly, I look like I got punched in eye.

Observe but kindly note that this was meant to be an experiment, I have no base on and the colours are a little dull.

Bare except for Stila's Wheat and mascara. Add colours. Usually this is the most I'll put for the top part. This is as high as I dare to bring it.

Normal and brought higher ala Arabic make up.

Of course for Arabic make up, they won't just use blue. Their colours are usually bright, shimmery and contoured beautifully.

Line your eyes like you life depends on it; add falsies and here's the look. In the end, I really doubt I have the balls to use this technique with different colours all mixed in and think I can get away with it.

That necklace is gorgeous! You cannot beat vintage pieces. Such a good find.

Your arabic inspired would look nice for a night out. I love how you blended it out so there was a gradient of color upwards. Lovely.

Oh babe, authentic arabic makeup is insane! Insanely beautiful and insanely hard to copy. I think you did a great job!

That.Pendant.Is.Damn.Gorgeous. and you're one lucky girl to have it. If i got something like that, I'll make sure it would become family heirloom.

The elianto clear nail polish, the RM5 definitely a good top coat. It is even better than Konad top coat. I hate the Konad top coat. it make the stamp look dull and it is full of tiny bubbles.

p/s: OMG, this is embarrassing, but the bag is the cetak rompak version. But it change my mind about le pliage. I no longer think le pliage is ugly, I even considering getting the authentic bag sometime soon.

Love your vintage necklace! Funny how he bought that for you but then dragged you away from the cosmetics counter. XP Arabic eye makeup isn't for everyone but I think you carried it well. =)

I have the same problem. I have both hooded eyes, and a lot of space between my eyes and brows so if I color in up to my brows- even a highlight shade- than I feel like it's too much, or that I look like a clown. :(

Nice blog, btw. I'm a new follower. Hope you can check out my blog when you get a chance :)
