After many weeks of discussion, err.. okay and whining, JH and I finally found some time to head up to Cameron Highlands on one cloudy Saturday. We left at 8.30am to arrive at Cameron Highlands, Pahang close to 11am where we had our breakfast at the BOH Tea Centre, Sungei Palas. I think by now, most Malaysian would have atleast visited this place once in their life. I have not. It was to be my first trip there and I was all happy-dappy. The weather was perfect as it was sunny and the breeze was absolutely lovely at 24 degrees Celcius, (Penang is roughly about 34 degrees Celcius).
Since we both skipped breakfast we had our first meal there at the BOH Tea Centre. I had apple pie and JH had his scone. Both the apple pie and scone was good, unfortunately the scone wasn't as yummy as the ones in David Brown in Penang Hill. We had our tea and a short walk later we left for a simple lunch at a restaurant.
It's so like us to bring 2 cameras there and promptly forget to take any pictures after the first meal. It's both frustrating and embarrassing, we never seem to have any pictures to show. Sheesh, that also shows that both JH and I have "excellent" memories.
To recap, we had our "breakfast" at 11am, lunch at 12pm and desert at 1pm. We headed to Raju's Strawberry Hill cafe(?) where they served FAT strawberries drowned in chocolate sauce and cream. It was absolutely delicious, I had the waffles instead. JH doesn't like cream so that gives me extra. YUM!
The meal would have been perfect if it wasn't for a little kid crying bloody Mary and throwing the most 'amazing' tantrum in the history of mankind. I kid you not. It was..."amazing". We couldn't help but stare. It wasn't much of rolling about the floor kicking his feet in the air sort but it was the screaming. My english is not very good, is there another... STRONGER word for screaming? Yelling doesn't seem to justify the sound that came out from that kid's mouth. I mean, we could literally hear him from miles away. Someone should stuff a dirty sock into his mouth. Kids should only cry like that at parent's funeral and no where else.
*Ahem* I digress. We went to the market to buy some super fresh vegetables and a few bunches of roses (RM2.50 a bunch) and left on our merry way. So it was 3 hours going there, 3 hours eating and walking, 3 hours going back, a short nap and a 8 course dinner at Jade Palace with JH's parents = Tired and a little too full. Urgh.
Took us days to recover from all that. NO MORE daytrips! No! Nevar!
Total spent on Cameron Highlands = RM50 and below. Budget still intact! Woo-Hoo, thanks Sir Terrible Memory for the kind sponsorship.

LoL! Sir Terrible Memory! And yay for spending in budget! I've been to Cameron highlands like ones when I was a little girl. You totally should have taken pictures of the strawberryies!!!! hehe! It's funny its called BOH tea... sounds like... 'No' tea. But I'm sure the spelling is different!
The tea centre looks interesting. Can't believe you traveled for a total of 6 hours in one day. Tired just thinking about it.
We also tend to forget to take pictures and just be in the moment but in the end no pictures.
